As many of you know, The Well will be closed next Tuesday for Vacation Bible School. We will reopen on Tuesday, June 9th, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and again from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

If you are interested in volunteering, we are currently needing volunteers on Monday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to help prepare for Tuesday’s distribution, as well as volunteers on Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

I would also like to thank two organizations that made generous contributions today. First, the congregation at Church of the Harvest in Manvel organized a food drive for us, and we are truly grateful for your support and donations.

Next, a special thank you to Carmen Sottile and Gentle Ben Tasting Room for their support and for donating several boxes of non-perishable food items that will be distributed to families in our community.

It is churches and local businesses like these that show they truly care about families struggling with food insecurity in our community. Thank you all for your generosity and support.

If any other businesses would like to donate non-perishable food items or financially support The Well on a monthly basis, please click on the link below. We would be happy to provide a tax-deductible donation letter for your records.

School is out, but the need for food support continues. ☀️

Starting June 9th, we are kicking off Summer by serving our community with groceries for registered guests. As families prepare for kids being home all day, we want to help make sure tables stay full this Summer.

The top 3 most requested items are:
🥩 Meat
🥚 Eggs
🥛 Milk

You can help us provide these essentials by giving here: https://give.cornerstone.cc/mountainonmastersroad

We are also collecting:

🥜 Peanut butter
🍓 Jelly
🥣 Breakfast items
🍝 Pasta & pasta sauce
🍴 Quick and easy ready-to-eat meals for kids home during the Summer

Every donation helps feed families in our community and reminds them they are seen, loved, and supported. Thank you for helping us serve others well this Summer. 💛

The Well family is mourning the loss of one of our amazing volunteers, Cindy Aubry. As we reflect on the impact she made, it is clear that her dedication and commitment were truly exceptional. Cindy was a remarkable woman of faith who demonstrated a deep love for serving others, especially those with disabilities.

Her compassionate spirit shined through in every interaction, whether she was delivering meals or simply spending time visiting with someone to bring joy and connection. Her unwavering kindness and support made a lasting difference in the lives of many, offering not only assistance, but genuine compassion and understanding.

We will forever cherish the warmth she brought to our organization and community, and she will be dearly missed.

Rest in Peace, Cindy. Well done, good and faithful servant.🙏❤️

Today, 49 energetic volunteers worked side by side to ensure that 289 families were served with nutritious food for the week ahead. Thank you to all of our incredible volunteers for your hard work and dedication!

We would also like to thank our business partners for their generous contributions this week:
• Chick-fil-A Pearland
• Chick-fil-A South Fork
• Chick-fil-A Alvin
• Walmart Alvin
• Costco
• Dollar General
• Manvel Lions Club

Thank you all for your continued support and generosity.

Just a friendly reminder: The Well will be closed on Tuesday, May 26th, and June 2nd. We will reopen on June 9th at 8:30 a.m. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We wish everyone a safe, wonderful, and blessed Memorial Day until we see you again soon.

Every Tuesday morning, all The Well volunteers arrive early for a time of prayer and devotion. This morning I would like to recognize one of our volunteers who beautifully wrote and shared a devotional on the joy of giving, and he allowed me to post his reflection.

There is something powerful about giving…

Not because it makes us look good…
Not because it earns recognition…
But because giving reflects the heart of God…

Every time hands prepare food…
Every time a volunteer carries a box…
Every time someone offers a smile, a prayer, or a simple moment of compassion…
hope is being extended to someone who may desperately need it…

That is what makes The Well more than a food pantry…

It is a place where people are reminded they are seen…
Reminded they matter…
Reminded they are not forgotten…
Sometimes the greatest blessing is not only the food itself…
but the kindness attached to it…

Reflection

The truth is…
the need will always exist…

There will always be hurting people…
Families struggling…
Individuals carrying burdens nobody else sees…

And while we may not be able to fix every problem…
we can still serve…
We can still love…
We can still place compassion into action…

God has always used willing hands…
Hands that give…
Hands that serve…
Hands that comfort…
Hands that help carry the weight for someone else, even if only for a moment…

Serving at The Well is not simply volunteering…
It is a ministry…

It is becoming the hands and feet of Christ to people who may feel unseen by the world…

And maybe what seems small to us…
a meal…
a conversation…
a few hours of our time…
may become the very thing God uses to restore hope in someone’s life…

Galatians 6:9 reminds us:

“ And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” (ESV)

Sometimes service is exhausting…
Sometimes the needs feel endless…
But compassion matters…
Faithfulness matters…
And every act of kindness planted in love carries eternal value…

Spiritual Reflection

Jesus never ignored people in need…

He stopped for the broken…
He fed the hungry…
He touched the forgotten…
He showed compassion when others walked away…

As believers, we are called to do the same…

Not because we have endless resources…
but because God can use whatever we place in His hands…

A willing heart…
A servant spirit…
A compassionate moment...

Even the smallest offering given in love can become something meaningful in the Kingdom of God…

May we never lose the joy of giving…
May we never become too busy to serve…
And may The Well continue to be a place where hope is poured into lives one act of compassion at a time…

After a long day of serving the needs of our community, 50 incredible volunteers came together to help serve 347 families today at The Well.

I would like to extend a special thank you to Pastor Jason Lee for taking time out of his busy schedule to volunteer with us today. It was wonderful to see him not only helping load groceries into our guests’ vehicles, but also taking the time to greet and connect with the families we serve. Thank you, Pastor Jason, for your continued support and for the resources you provide that help make The Well an efficient and successful food pantry.

We would also like to thank Kamara Cooper from Ivy Kids of Manvel for stopping by and donating several boxes and packages of diapers just in time for Diaper Day, which was held this afternoon. Your generosity is greatly appreciated, Kamara!

Mayor Dan Davis also visited The Well today and presented two gift cards from Texas Southern University. The university was recently working on a project in Manvel and wanted to bless The Well with this thoughtful donation. Thank you, Texas Southern University, for your kindness and generosity.

If you feel led to volunteer with us or would like to partner with our organization, please contact us at (281) 914-3004.

May you have a wonderful and blessed week.

What an amazing day at The Well today!

A total of 49 hardworking volunteers served side by side to ensure that all 324 families who visited The Well received the nutritious food we had to offer. We received so many compliments about how friendly and caring our volunteers are. Their proactive and selfless hearts continue to make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. Thank you, faithful servants!

We would also like to recognize some of our neighboring churches that have gone above and beyond to help us combat food insecurity in our community. These churches regularly organize food drives to help restock our shelves:

• Redeemer Church
• Church Of The Harvest
• Redemption Church
• Church On MastersRoad
• Church On MastersRoad Home Groups
• The Garden on MastersRoad

It is truly encouraging to see churches coming together in unity to support our food pantry. Their teamwork, dedication, and commitment reflect the love and compassion of Christ for those in need. When we lift up a brother or sister in Christ, we are also lifting up the name of Jesus.

Thank you all for being the hands and feet of Jesus.

We would love to invite other churches, denominations, and organizations to partner with us and volunteer at The Well. If your church or organization is interested in serving with us, please contact us at (281) 914-3004 or email [email protected].

Have a wonderful and blessed week!

This week at The Well, we witnessed blessing upon blessing and the faithful hand of God moving through our community. Today alone, 42 tireless volunteers used their gifts, talents, and servant hearts to create a loving and welcoming atmosphere while serving 295 families with nutritious food, including fresh fruits, vegetables, protein meats, and delicious desserts.

Moments like these are only possible because of God’s provision through faithful volunteers, generous donors, and community business partners who continue to pour into this ministry week after week. We are incredibly grateful for the support of:

* Chick-fil-A Pearland
* Chick-fil-A South Fork
* Chick-fil-A Alvin
* Costco
* Walmart Alvin
* Dollar General
* LongHorn Steakhouse Pearland

We would also like to recognize David, a cheerful giver who chose not to seek recognition, yet generously dropped off non-perishable food items and household products for families in need. David, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and heart to serve others. Your in-kind donations are truly appreciated.

I’d like to thank several of the Church on MastersRoad Home Groups for collecting non-perishable food items and donating them to The Well. A special thank you to Rodney and Janelle’s Home Group, as well as the Kraft Home Group, for their generosity and support. We truly appreciate your contributions and your partnership in helping The Well serve our community.

One of the highlights of the day was welcoming Chick-fil-A representatives Stephanie Flores from Marketing and Curtis Scipio, Organizational Leader, who stopped by The Well and presented us with a generous monetary donation. We are deeply thankful to have Chick-fil-A as one of our faithful business partners. Through their continued weekly contributions and generous hearts, countless families are being blessed. There are truly no words to express how grateful and appreciative we are for their support and partnership in helping us fight hunger in our community.

If you would like to partner with The Well and help us continue serving families and filling our shelves each month, we would love to connect with you. For more information, or if you feel led to give, please click the link below:
