JOIN THE JOURNEY4WARD BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Are you passionate about strengthening communities, supporting victims, and promoting mental health and violence prevention? Journey4ward is seeking diverse, committed, mission-driven individuals to serve as Volunteer Board Members.
Who We Are
Journey4ward is a North Texas nonprofit providing trauma-informed counseling, victim support, and youth violence prevention programs. We believe every family deserves safety, healing, and hope. We also believe in responsible gun ownership. While we support the right to own a firearm, we advocate for safe, responsible practices that protect families and communities.
We are seeking board members who are:
• Passionate about victim services, mental health, and
supporting families affected by gun violence
• Committed to Journey4ward’s mission and values
• Ready to contribute ideas, leadership, and community
connections
• Supportive of trauma-informed, culturally responsive services
Board Member Responsibilities
• Provide oversight of Journey4ward’s operations, policies, and
strategic planning
• Stay informed and engaged in Journey4ward’s mission and
programs
• Participate in quarterly board meetings, special events, and
community functions when available
• Support fundraising efforts and help expand community
partnerships
• Understand that this is a volunteer (non-paid) leadership role
• Commit to less than 30 hours per year
• Cast one vote on matters requiring board approval
Most importantly, board members must serve Journey4ward in good faith and in the best interest of the organization and the communities we serve.
