Even though we’re rained out, we still want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of our coaches past, present, and future!

If it wasn’t for each of you volunteering your time, energy, patience, and effort for these girls, MGSA wouldn’t be the league we are today. Your impact goes far beyond wins and losses, and we truly appreciate everything you do for our players and our softball family.

Mother Nature may be playing a few games of her own right now 😂🌧️… but she can’t rain out our appreciation for our coaches!

THANK YOU, COACHES!

Our MGSA family lost one of our own, and this one truly hurts.

There are people who come through a league for a season, and then there are people who become part of its story. Coach John Woods was part of our story. He wasn’t just a coach or a former board member he was part of the MGSA family, and his presence, personality, and love for his girls left a mark that won’t be forgotten.

John was definitely a character, and anyone who knew him knows exactly what I mean! But behind that personality was a man who loved his girls fiercely and would do absolutely anything for them.

If you knew Coach John, you knew exactly where to find him—somewhere in the crowd, decked out in PURPLE, proudly representing his Diamond Diva girls! You never had to question who he was there supporting.

The Woods family and the Diamond Divas were part of the group that helped MGSA grow into what it is today. They have been part of this softball family for a long time, and we will forever be grateful for the time, love, and support they poured into our league and our girls.

Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with the entire Woods family, his Diamond Diva family, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving Coach John.

If you find it in your heart, please consider making whatever donation you are able to give to support the Woods family during this incredibly difficult time. And please share if you feel led to do so.

Rest easy, Coach John. Thank you for the laughs, the memories, the countless hours at the ballpark, and most importantly, the love you had for your girls. Once MGSA family, always MGSA family.
