North Texas Giving Day is coming up! Since we aren’t accepting donations any longer, we’d love if you would switch your donations to another great local charity. One we love is Don't Forget to Feed Me! They provide free food to those pets in need so that they can stay in their homes instead of being surrendered when food runs out. After 15 years and over 600 Beagles saved, DFW Beagle Buddies is officially winding down operations. Thank you to everyone who made our efforts successful - every share, comment, donation, transport, foster, and adopter made a huge difference in the lives of Beagles and we are forever grateful! In our absence, we recommend Houston Beagle and Hound Rescue, Inc. and Hound Rescue. If you have a passion for Beagles and would like to carry on the DFW BB mission of rescuing Beagles in need from North Texas shelters, please reach out to us - we’d love to talk more and find a way for our rescue to continue under new leadership!

Poppy (L) has been adopted! She and her new sister Bailey are getting along well, and Poppy absolutely loves snuggling with her new humans!

Scotty has been adopted! He is now known as Scotty Valentine-his new mom says he was her Valentine’s gift this year. He likes to spend lots of time in the backyard on squirrel patrol and of course, napping on his cozy bed.

Happy 5th Birthday to “The Beagles” pups! Born into our rescue to mama Abbey Road, here’s Eleanor Rigby celebrating one more year with her wonderful family!

We just love a happy update! DFW BB alum Rory's dad wrote and said, "She’s definitely the most lovable companion I could have ever asked for. Never received so many kisses, she’s a little lover for sure! I’m blessed and fortunate to have her in my life. One major change has been in the inclusion of her sister Lola. Lola was a stray that ended up in my yard back in June and I tried to foster her out but her and Rory got along pretty quickly and as time passed I decided to keep her. So Rory has a sister now! Rory definitely gets jealous at times but it’s part of her big personality 🤣"

So, how do your beagles feel about the snow? Shelby was excited to go out but wanted back in pretty quick. The couch under a blanket is more her speed in this cold.

We’re saddened to share news of the passing of DFW BB alum Bluebonnet, now Bella.

Her family adopted her in 2015 and says, “She had been a wonderful and faithful companion for us. Thank you for allowing us to adopt her and giving us one of the most loving dogs we have ever had the pleasure of having. Our years with her were not enough, but I know we were her everything and that she was truly loved from the moment she stepped her paws into our lives. The pictures below were all taken in the last few months after we moved into our new home. Bella loved this new house so much because of the artificial grass that we put in. We would sit outside for hours while she laid on the warm turf. If she wasn’t on the turf, she was always doing her best Snoopy impersonation on the back of the couch.”
