This HBCU Fair and Black Business Expo was the best one yet!! Over 50 on-site college admissions and over a hundred thousand dollars in scholarships awarded!! The performances from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Band and the Prairie View A&M Chorale were outstanding per usual!!! The pics are great, but don't tell it all!
Thank you to all of our business and food truck vendors and to all of the HBCUs that showed up! Thank you to our line dancing guru, Tawney Coburn for teaching us the latest and greatest line dances. We had to Let 'Em Know!!! To Kevin Henry and Jay Showtime, the dynamic DJ and MC duo, listen, y'all keep the party going!! Thank you to Royce Robinson from RoyceDidIt Photography for capturing these memorable moments! To the Panelists, workshop facilitators, and ALL of the volunteers, y'all are the real MVPs!!! Thank you!

🗣🗣**SCHOLARSHIP ALERT!!🗣🗣
The Historic West Mansfield Texas Community Development Corporation is pleased to present our first Clara Marie Smith Educational Excellence Scholarship! We have named this scholarship in honor of the mother of Mansfield Mayor Michael A. Evans, Sr., who also serves as the Senior Pastor of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, and is also a founding member of our organization. Mrs. Smith, who has gone on to be with our ancestors, was a champion of education and so we named this scholarship to continue her legacy and further the CDC's commitment to educating our students. At least one deserving student who graduated from a Texas High School, and is now attending an HBCU will be awarded $1,000!!
