Mental Health Moment!

The Kindness Dare
Did you know that simple everyday acts of kindness can boost your mood and reduce stress? Small kind gestures can have a greater impact than you think and they are contagious! People who receive acts of kindness are more likely to be generous themselves and pass it on. This February, take the Kindness Dare and do an intentional act of kindness for 10 days. Here are some ideas to get you started. What else should you add?
• Text someone a genuine compliment.
• Sit with someone who looks lonely at lunch or in a meeting.
• Do a chore for one of your family members without being asked
• Let a teacher/coach/mentor know something you appreciate.
• Share something (snack, notes, playlist) with someone.
• Say “thank you” to someone you usually overlook (custodial staff, cafeteria, bus driver).

Junior & Senior 4-H members met Wednesday, November 5th to learn craft and construction skills. With random material, stuffing and a sewing needle they constructed pumpkins... or balls! The participants enjoyed snacks too and had a snowball throwing contest! Cloverbuds meet next week, November 12th after school.
