Who doesn't like a pumpkin patch! In October of 2025 GEEF funds took the Pre-K thru 3rd grade to Pumpkin Patch Altus. 79 students learned about agriculture, science and community connection on this field trip.

An annual event, Steven's Funtastic School Day is always a big hit for the Pre-K thru First Grade students. 38 students took part in January 2025.

THUNDER UP! Jan. 7, 2025 found 45, Granite, 3rd-6th graders attending a thunder Blue game in Oklahoma City. Many of the children had never experienced a trip to OKC for an event of this kind. A great experience for these youngsters!

This year in review is jumping from one end of the year to another!
Nov. 3, 2025 107 students 2nd through 8th grade attended the Altus High Schools musical production of "Singing in the Rain". A fun way to introduce our students to musical theater.

THANK YOU to all the alumni and friends of Granite Schools that found it in their heart to donate to Granite Educational Enrichment Foundation. "One small step for man..." Last August, the Gifted and Talented program, 2nd through 6th grade and 7th -12th grade toured the Stafford Air and Space Museum. A total of 60 students and 8 sponsors were able to visit the "Smithsonian of Oklahoma" for a spectacular first hand look at the history of air and space travel. What an outstanding resource and educational opportunity celebrating the life and missions of an Oklahoma son, General Tom Stafford. This excursion was funded by the generous donors of GEEF. The Granite Girls softball teams were in dire need last year for summer gear to battle the extreme heat that our area was enduring. The black uniforms were not conducive to a healthy season. Summer jerseys and visors were purchased by the foundation to help keep our girls safe and protected on the field.

In 2025, GEEF trustees were thankful to be able to fund many worthwhile activities and programs for Granite Students THANKS TO OUR GENEROUS DONORS! See our year in review:
ART PROGRAM - funded in 2024
Wonderful example of Granite students serving others by making valentines in their art class for residence at Magnolia Skilled Therapy Center

From teacher Ella Murray: "I just wanted to share that my art students kindergarten through 3rd grade made Valentines for a Granite alumnus Alexis Brook Allen. Seventy-three cards were made for Magnolia Skilled Therapy Center residents where she works in Altus as the activities director.

When I asked how many residents she would need cards for, she replied "73, but any amount will help." Little did she know that 73 is no problem at all since we have 12 students in PK, 16 in K, 11 in 1st grade, 19 in 2nd grade, & 20 in 3rd grade. This adds up to 70 students in lower elementary, and a few students did more than one card! (Pk was working on a different project so kindergarten & first graders did more than one & a few 2nd or 3rd graders too!)"
