Tomorrow — Friday, August 28 — is the deadline to apply for the 2026 One Clay County Launch + Leap Business Accelerators!

💡 LAUNCH — For aspiring entrepreneurs with an idea or early-stage business. Successful fellows can earn a $5,000 micro-grant upon completion.

📈 LEAP — For existing, revenue-generating businesses ready to grow and expand. Successful fellows can earn a $10,000 micro-grant upon completion.

There is NO COST to participate, and you do not need a finished business plan to apply. Fellows receive hands-on training, one-on-one coaching, mentorship, connections, and resources to help move their business forward.

Great turnout today at the PRTC - Peoples Rural Telephone Cooperative Conference Center in McKee for a regional meeting bringing together partners from across the area to discuss, brainstorm, and identify new opportunities for collaboration.

There’s a lot of great work happening throughout our region, and meetings like this give us an opportunity to connect those efforts, share ideas, and look for ways we can work together to make an even greater impact.

A big thank you to PRTC for hosting us and to Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR) and Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) for bringing everyone together and helping create the space for these important conversations.

Great people, great ideas, and a lot of opportunities ahead for our region!

We were excited to welcome an incredible youth group from Bowling Green working with Impact Outdoor Adventures as they spent the day exploring everything that makes Manchester such a special place. From launching kayaks on Goose Creek to experiencing the Land of Swinging Bridges, these young people got to enjoy the beauty, adventure, and hospitality that our community has to offer.

It’s great to see our investments in outdoor recreation creating opportunities for visitors to experience Appalachia in a whole new way. Days like today remind us why we’re working so hard to make Clay County a destination for outdoor adventure, family fun, and unforgettable experiences.

A huge thank you to Impact Outdoor Adventures for bringing this group to Manchester. We hope they’ll be back on the water and the trails again soon!
