A big thank you to Sue Fox and VOA for your partnership at our back-to-school bash! VOA donated 60 backpacks that contained school supplies in addition to giving out school supplies at the event.

A big shout out to the Mayor and Manchester City Council for supporting our back-to-school bash by providing the water slide and hot dogs for around 250 kids and parents on Town Branch. The Mayor and City Council have been a tremendous partner to our work, particularly this past year, and we can’t thank them enough!

It’s our aim to reduce barriers for families as they help their children succeed.
This donation of $5,200 in Amazon gift cards from Save the Children, presented by KY Director Chelsi Harville, will go a long way toward that goal.

Thompson Scholars was one stop on the Berea College Appalachian Tour. Our team enjoyed hosting their group today, and we were happy to have the opportunity to show our gratitude for the support they provide through the Appalachian Fund.

We’re 🤩 star-struck from meeting Nicholas Kristof, NYT journalist and winner of 2 Pulitzers! He came by today and interviewed 4 of our scholars and their families. Such an honor!
