Today, Planned Parenthood and pro-abortion legislators began to repeal Michigan’s pro-life laws.

We attended the committee hearings and guess what we learned: They lied to us.

During a hearing to repeal the 1931 abortion ban, State Rep. Gina Johnsen (R - 78) and other pro-life legislators introduced many amendments to clarify Proposal 3 and protect at least some lives. Every proposed change addressed an issue that Prop 3 supporters *promised* us would be untouched. Yet Planned Parenthood’s pro-abortion representatives voted every single one down.

Here is a list of the proposed laws that were voted down in committee hearings today:
- Stopping sex-selective abortions
- Stopping abortions on babies with disabilities like Down syndrome
- Stopping children under 16 from having abortions without parental consent
- Stopping chiropractors, dietitians, athletic trainers, and massage therapists from performing abortions
- Clarifying the definition of viability to ensure the protection of fully developed babies
..and more.

Proponents of Prop 3 PROMISED voters that the language would not allow the above things to happen. If they are so confident, why are they unwilling to clarify our laws to ensure that is the case?

…because they lied to us.

Michigan’s 1931 pro-life law will be repealed and *nothing* will take its place.

This extremism has no place in our state. We must not be silent.

So we ask: How will you use your voice to combat these lies?

Please take action. Lives are on the line. Whatever speaking out costs us is surely less than what our silence will cost the victims.
