🌟 VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: ERIC GRAY

Behind every growing organization are people who choose to give their time, talents, and expertise to help the mission move forward.

Today, we are excited to celebrate Eric Gray and the incredible journey he has had with Faith in God Charity Missions.

Eric joined FIGCM in October 2024 as a volunteer Grant Writer, using his skills to help us pursue funding and opportunities that support the work we do.
Over time, his involvement with the organization continued to grow. He later transitioned into the role of Chief Operating Officer and, in June 2026, took on his current role as Chief Development and Communications Officer, where he leads our fundraising and marketing team and helps strengthen how we communicate our mission and connect with supporters.

Eric also serves as a member of the FIGCM Board, contributing his experience and vision to the continued growth of the organization.

But Eric's service doesn't stop there.

Through Gray Family Partners, a family-led organization where he serves as a General Partner alongside his brother, Eric has helped connect FIGCM with opportunities in financial coaching and financial literacy.

One example is Kofi's Money Adventure, a financial-literacy initiative featured during our annual trip, where children at our orphanage participated in lessons that gave them practical financial knowledge they could apply in their everyday lives.

Building on this work, Eric is now helping establish a Pro Bono Financial Coaching Project and a donation partnership between Gray Family Partners and FIGCM, with plans to grow these efforts into a lasting program that can serve more individuals and families.

What makes Eric's story so special is that he began by simply saying yes to volunteering.

That one yes has grown into years of service, partnership, and impact.

Eric, thank you for sharing your skills, experience, leadership, and time with Faith in God Charity Missions. Thank you for continuing to find new ways to serve and for helping us build opportunities that can create lasting change.

We are grateful to have you as part of the FIGCM family!

💗 HER HEALTH MATTERS.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to create awareness, encourage early attention to breast health, and stand with women and families affected by breast cancer.

At Faith in God Charity Missions, much of our work is with vulnerable communities, including widows, women, children and families.

And as we talk about opportunity, dignity and stronger futures, we also recognize something important:

A woman's wellbeing matters.
Breast cancer can affect women and families in many different ways. Some people may notice changes such as a new lump, a change in the size or shape of the breast, skin changes, or unusual ni**le discharge. Others may have no symptoms at all, which is why regular check-ups and screening are so important. They can help detect changes early.

This October, we encourage women to learn about their breast health, pay attention to changes, and visit their nearest health centre or hospital when something doesn't feel right.

To every woman, survivor, family member and caregiver whose life has been touched by breast cancer: we stand with you.

May this month be a reminder that caring for others should never mean forgetting to care for yourself.

Her health matters. Her life matters. Her story matters.

What does it really mean to abide in Christ?

In John 15, Jesus uses the picture of a vine and its branches to show us the importance of remaining connected to Him.

A branch cannot produce fruit by itself. In the same way, our spiritual lives are not sustained by our own strength. We need a daily connection with Christ.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." — John 15:5

This Wednesday, we begin our October Bible Study series by exploring what it means to remain connected to Christ, depend on Him daily, and bear lasting fruit.

HELLO, OCTOBER!

A new month is here, and we want to begin it by saying thank you for walking with us this year, through your prayers, encouragement, generosity and belief in this mission.

This October, we're exploring what it means to keep the opportunity alive.

The school year has begun, but for an orphan or a child from a vulnerable community, getting into school is only the beginning. Family wellbeing, livelihood, health and community all play a part in helping a child learn, grow and build toward a future of greater possibility.

Throughout this month, we'll be sharing more about these connections and the work of FIGCM.

May October be filled with hope, purpose, growth and new opportunities for you and your loved ones. Happy New Month from all of us at Faith in God Charity Missions!

A NEW SCHOOL YEAR HAS BEGUN.

And before we close out our Back to School Campaign, we simply want to say:

THANK YOU.

Thank you to everyone who supported this campaign.

To our donors.
To our churches and partners.
To our volunteers.
To everyone who shared our message, encouraged the work, prayed with us, or helped in any way.

Your support has helped us work toward providing educational assistance to orphans and children from communities facing hardship, helping reduce some of the practical and financial barriers that can make accessing and remaining in school difficult.

But beyond the school fees, uniforms, books, bags, and learning materials is something much bigger:

Opportunity.
An opportunity to enter the classroom.
An opportunity to continue learning.
An opportunity to grow.
An opportunity to begin building toward a different future.

As students begin another school year, we pray that this will be a year of growth, discovery, learning, and new possibilities.

To every student, we wish you a wonderful and successful school year!

And to the teachers who will guide, encourage, challenge, and inspire them along the way, thank you for the work you do.

WHAT IF YOUR CHURCH COULD HELP PUT A BIBLE INTO SOMEONE'S HANDS?

At Faith in God Charity Missions, we believe the Gospel should be shared with compassion, dignity, and love.

Through our Evangelism Program, we create opportunities to share the message of Christ and make Christian resources available to the people and communities we serve.

A Bible placed in someone's hands can create an opportunity to encounter God's Word.

A Christian book or magazine can encourage someone who needs hope.
An outreach can create an opportunity for someone to hear the Gospel.

Every contribution can help us take the message of Christ further.

This is part of our wider mission to restore dignity, create opportunities, and transform lives through compassionate service, sustainable development, and the love of Christ.

Education is one part of a bigger mission.

Throughout our Back to School Campaign, we've shared why educational opportunity matters to the children and families we serve.

But education does not exist in isolation.

A child's ability to learn can be connected to the wellbeing of the family around them. A family's stability can be connected to livelihood opportunities. And our service is grounded in a faith that calls us to care for the whole person.
