Hot Spring County, Arkansas Historical Society The Mission of the Hot Spring County Historical Society is to preserve the History of both the City of Malvern and Hot Spring County.

We are open Fridays from 10am to 12pm, except during Holidays. We are also open by appointment.

Hello to all,

Just a reminder that tomorrow night at 6pm, we will have the 2nd presentation in our "Early Leaders of Hot Spring County Series" Kinney Black will introduce you to one of our county's "earliest" settlers: J. H. Alexander. He has a very colorful man with a very eventful history. Come, get acquainted with the"Big" man. Hope to see YOU at 6pm in the 118 West 2nd building. The HSCHS meets tonight (May 4, 2026) at 6pm at 118 West 2nd. St. We will hear the first in a series of "Early Leaders" presentations that will focus on influential figures from the Hot Spring County's earliest days. Tonight's topic will be on the late "J. Elmo Young", a prominent local businessman. Cary Young, a grandson of J. Elmo Young, will give the presentation. All interested are invited to attend!
