I hope everyone is having a good beginning to their week. We’ve been working on the Fun Run event quite a bit the past few days. Melissa Dettmer has done her usual great job on the website this year. A couple of things we’ve added are the Dirtiest Jeep/off-road vehicle at the end of the day. Judging at 6:00. An All Ladies ride is a new addition. It will be around 3:00. We had one-one time and are going to do it again! Thanks in advance to the LSJC, the NEA Club and NTX Overland Club for donating their time and vehicles to help us out. And the WWW Club that Ive dragged into this year after year.

Good afternoon! I have a little piece of Fun Run memorabilia that we will be taking silent bids on until the raffle on May 16. It is a metal sign that designated the Fun Run Trail at HSORV park. It’s metal. Probably 18”x18”. I will measure and be sure Its a bit scratched up but it would be great addition for an off-road enthusiast. All donations received will go to Camp Sunshine Arkansas.

Many thanks to HSORV Park for hanging onto it for us.

Fun Run is tomorrow guys. Lots of events going on around the state. Choices to be made. If you can’t decide come on out to the ORV park. Got some dandy raffle items. 3- 9500 lb winches, coolers, golfing packages , too much to list plus a catered meal for 25 from Whole Hog Cafe! Come on over and help us help Camp Sunshine!

Throw a bag of dogfood in the Jeep for Southern Hearts Rescue which will be here, too.

Many thanks to those donating to the raffle and donating money to the Camp Sunshine fund! Every penny that is not spent putting Fun Run together goes into that fund and presented to Camp Sunshine which brings me to this-
If you know a business or you own one- we could use some hamburger buns donated for the pulled pork sandwiches- Fun Run evening. We’ve never really asked for donations of the buns before but we thought we’d give it a try. We need at least 100 or more buns If you just want to donate 1 or 2 packages- that’s great- it adds up quickly. Let us know in the comments what your bringing and that will be less that we will have to spend. A dozen or two of homemade cookies for the cookie table would be great!
The Camp Sunshine Kids are everyone’s kids. They deserve to have a great camp just like other kids. We help make that happen year after year with the Fun Run Event. Not one person. Not one business or club but a whole bunch of big hearted people looking deep into their hearts and making it happen. Come on out and bid on some raffle items, eat brunch with us, watch the Co****le tournament, you don’t need a Jeep or a side by side. Just check in and come to the pavilion at Hot Springs Off Road Park. No admission except a smile. 😊

We will be having updates along regarding our activities. The LSJC of Texas has again volunteered to lead some trail rides. When you get to the park on Fun Run Morning- check in and pay your park fees at the camp office and head to the pavilion. We hope to have things planned out so each driver will have a group to go with regardless of their experience level. We will post the start times on the rides soon.

We will be doing the Flex Ramp Competitions again at 1:30 pm there will be several divisions

Food- we can’t forget food-
Brunch
pancakes and bacon from 10:00-1:00 or until gone.
Dinner
6:00-6:30: pulled pork plate, baked beans, potato chips.

If you can help out by bringing a raffle item to the event or by volunteering- please feel free to participate!

Good morning! It’s a great day wherever you may be! We’ve had a lot of obstacles thrown at us this year and we’re asking your patience and support in overcoming these obstacles and becoming even stronger. We couldn’t do that without the support of that core group that helps out every year- without fail. You know the ones- the ones that call you and say- what can I do to help? No matter the job- they’re there. That’s where we are now. Lots of events going on at the same time around Arkansas but we have our group to pull it together. It won’t be the biggest Fun Run but it will be Fun Run and it will be for the Kids- not someone’s pockets so come out and join your Fun Run family that you’ve seen for years and help us raise money for Camp Sunshine.
