We are incredibly grateful to the Mahtomedi Area Education Foundation for their generous sponsorship grant supporting the Mahtomedi Area Schools Weekend Backpack Program.

Because of this support, we are able to continue providing nutritious, kid-friendly food to local students who may need a little extra help over the weekend. This program ensures that children in our community return to school on Monday ready to learn and thrive.

The Washington County Board of Commissioners met today, October 30, for a special board meeting. They approved $250,000 in one-time funding for 10 local food shelves in Washington County.

🎒💙 A heartfelt thank you to the Mahtomedi Area Educational Foundation (MAEF) for their generous support of the Weekend Backpack Program!

Because of their partnership, we were able to provide over 90 weekly meals to students in grades K–12 across Mahtomedi Area Schools throughout the school year. These meals help ensure that no child goes hungry over the weekend.

We are so grateful for their continued commitment to our community and to the well-being of our students. 🙌
