🎃 Halloween is almost here, but let's be honest... on November 1, Mariah Carey officially thaws, Christmas music starts playing, and suddenly everyone realizes they need Christmas card photos.

Mahomet Lodge has you covered!

Join us on November 7 or 8 for our Christmas Photo Fundraiser. For just $100, you'll receive:

📸 A 15-minute session with a professional photographer
🎄 Two festive Christmas backdrops
💾 Digital copies of your photos to print, share, and use however you'd like

Not only will you get beautiful family photos, you'll also be supporting a local organization that has served our community for nearly 170 years. Funds raised help support scholarships, Scholastic Bowl sponsorships, and community events such as Trunk or Treat and Village Christmas.

If you're attending Trunk or Treat this Friday, stop by our booth and check out the backdrops in person!

🎅 Reserve your session today: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F49AEAD23A1F5CF8-66649637-christmas

Our Secretary Steve is being honored this week and entering the Mahomet Schools Hall of Fame for his basketball prowess. Since the Homecoming Parade went right by the lodge several brothers honored Steve by wearing a special basketball jersey and screaming his name as the parade went by the lodge. Congrats Steve!

CONGRATULATIONS TO BROTHER STEVE RINKEL!!!!!!!!!

🏀🐾 2026 MAHOMET-SEYMOUR HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE: STEVE RINKEL | ATHLETICS

One of the greatest shooters in Mahomet-Seymour history, Steve Rinkel scored 1,047 career points, including an incredible **612 points as a senior**—all before the three-point line existed!

Steve still holds M-S records for most field goals in a season (273) and most field goals in a game (18). He also once scored 43 points in a game, a school record that stood for nearly 50 years.

But Steve’s impact went far beyond the basketball court. After choosing education over college basketball, he spent 37 years as a teacher and coach, impacting more than 4,000 students across Homer and Monticello. He coached numerous sports and led teams to conference championships, state tournaments, and Final Four appearances.

A gifted educator, coach, historian, and storyteller, Steve was known for his humor, legendary trivia sessions, and passion for helping students learn.

And his athletic legacy continued beyond basketball, Steve was an elite softball player and was inducted into the ASA Illinois Softball Hall of Fame, earning the nickname “The Mahomet Comet.”

Congratulations, Steve Rinkel, on your 2026 Mahomet-Seymour Hall of Fame induction!
