⚾🐾 Come See Us at the Rocket City Trash Pandas Game! 🐾⚾

Join us on Tuesday, June 16, for Tito's Tail Waggin' Tuesday with the Rocket City Trash Pandas! We're excited to share that SARTEC K-9 Unit Search and Rescue Team has once again been invited to participate in this fun community event.

Last year, SARTEC K-9 Unit was honored to be one of the local volunteer organizations selected to receive donations collected during Tail Waggin' Tuesday, and we're grateful for the opportunity to return this season.

Bring your four-legged best friend to the ballpark! Dogs are welcome to enjoy the game alongside their humans in Sections 1 and 2 or on the grass berm. While dogs do not need a ticket, a suggested $1 donation per dog is collected at entry, with proceeds benefiting local animal-focused nonprofit organizations.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the incredible search and rescue teams who came out to support SARTEC on a recent mission. Your dedication, professionalism, and willingness to respond make a real difference in our community.

As volunteer-based organizations, we all know how challenging weekday deployments can be. Most of our members balance full-time jobs, families, and other commitments, yet when the call comes, you still show up. That level of commitment does not go unnoticed.

We would like to give a special thank you to Huntsville Police Department, the AHJ over our recent search, for their coordination for and support throughout the operation. We are also incredibly grateful to our mutual aid partners who answered the call and stood alongside us during this extensive search. Agencies from multiple states came together, bringing their unique skills, resources, and unwavering commitment to ensure a thorough and coordinated effort from start to finish. Last but definitely not least, we'd like to give a well-earned shoutout to our IC crew for their steady guidance, commitment to the mission, and behind-the-scenes work that kept everything running smoothly.

This effort is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished through strong partnerships and shared purpose. Thank you to every team member involved for your professionalism, dedication, and tireless work throughout the search!

Members of HPD's Criminal Investigations Division, Traffic Services Unit and Drone Unit recently partnered with the North Alabama Multi-Agency Crime Center, the U.S. Marshals Service, SARTEC K-9 Unit, Special K9SAR and RAT-SAR for a coordinated operation.

These teams worked together to support ongoing investigations by sharing resources, expertise and specialized tools. We appreciate the continued dedication, professionalism and collaboration of our partner agencies.
