😔 UPDATE on PBC (Princess Buttercup) Southern Pup’s Chihuahua Corgi Mix

I was out of town last week when PBC suddenly lost function of her hind legs. She was happy for Mama love when I returned late Saturday.

We are waiting now for her follow up vet visit. Unfortunately, she did not show any improvement over the weekend as we had hoped.

She still has no movement in her hind legs, and I’m having to express her bladder. She is not able to go on her own.

Please keep praying for PBC and for us.

We are very concerned.

PBC, Princess Buttercup, suddenly lost all function in her hind legs last night.

We rushed her to the vet this morning.

Imaging suggests she could be suffering from IVDD, but the vet is not💯 certain.

How her body responds this weekend is key to her diagnosis. We cannot be sure she will ever walk again.

Please pray for PBC, for comfort and healing, and for us, wisdom and the means to give her what she needs.

When one of our sanctuary dogs has a critical case, it’s a heavy burden for all. She’s a tough girl! We just can’t imagine her not jumping and bossing the pack around. She won’t know what to do with herself.

We appreciate your prayers, shares, and follows. We will keep you updated.

This German Shepherd has joined us at Southern Pup.

He was wandering along a county road, going home to home, seeking food, comfort, shelter.

Neighbors responded by shooting at him.

I’ll never understand folks. How are people not compelled to help God’s creatures in need right before them? We cannot care about God’s heart and turn away from His creation.

PLEASE SHARE this sweet boy. He needs a family to love him, a home where he will always belong.
