Today our JA members had the opportunity to deliver goodie baskets with information sheets to our local school counselors. 💙

We are so thankful for the important role our counselors play in our schools and the lives of each student. We hope these resources help them learn more about Junior Auxiliary and how we can work together to serve the children in Noxubee County.

We appreciate all of the work our counselors, teachers, and staff do to help the children within our community.

Today, some of our members were able to take our Matthew’s Blessings children shoe shopping! They had a great day and were so excited to get some new shoes for school and recreational activities. They also got a good lunch and spent time with friends.

✨ Monthly Member Spotlight ✨

This month we are spotlighting Samantha Harris! Samantha, our current treasurer, has been apart of our chapter since 2023. She is from Macon, MS, and works as a registered nurse at Oakwood Manor. Samantha has been married for six years and they have a two-year-old daughter that brings so much joy to their family. ❤️

Samantha joined JA because she has a passion for helping others and serving her community. She truly wants to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. One of her favorite memories in JA is taking the Matthew’s Blessings kids skating and getting to watch them laugh and have fun.

We are so thankful for Samantha’s heart for service and all that she does for our chapter. Thank you, Samantha, for helping us continue to make a difference! 💙💛

2026 Southern Area Meeting | Hattiesburg, MS

A few of our members spent the morning networking with other chapters, learning new ways to serve, and gaining fresh ideas for future service projects. We are excited to put what we learned into practice and continue making a difference in our community-all while Staying Golden. 💛

We were blessed to receive the following awards: Awesome Attendance and More Members Matter.

✨Monthly Member Spotlight✨

We are excited to spotlight our vice president, Lauren Jourdan, this month! Originally from Houston, TX, Lauren joined Junior Auxiliary because she has always felt drawn to helping others and stepping in when there is a need. JA gives her the opportunity to serve on a larger scale alongside women who share her heart for service.

One of her favorite things about JA is watching our Matthew’s Blessings kids grow and experience new memories they may not be able to make otherwise.

Outside of JA, Lauren spends her time helping her husband with their cattle farm and rescuing animals. She also owns a custom order business called The Creative Farm Wife!

We are so thankful to have Lauren in our group and we cherish her leadership and compassionate heart. Help us show her the love she deserves! 💕

Yesterday’s Boutique of Blessings was truly something special. ❤️

We heard so many sweet words from members of our community throughout the day:

“Thank y’all for doing this- yall have really blessed us today”.

Others told us how thankful they were, how much we meant to the community, and someone even called our JA members “angels”. We also had the opportunity to share about Junior Auxiliary and what our mission is.

These moments remind us why we do what we do. We are so grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make this possible. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and love our community- one person, one family, and one blessing at a time.

We want to extend a special thank you to the local businesses for supporting this project: Flossie’s provided our clothing racks and Tem’s provided our shopping bags. Your generosity allows us to continue giving back to our community. ❤️
