🚨 URGENT ACTION ALERT FOR CALIFORNIA REGIONAL CENTER FAMILIES 🚨
This may be one of the biggest changes to the Regional Center system in decades.
DDS is proposing a new statewide "Equitable and Consistent Needs Assessment." Many advocates are concerned that this proposal could move California away from individualized, person-centered planning and toward standardized assessments that may not fully capture each person's unique needs.
If this proposal moves forward without stronger protections, families could face greater challenges obtaining the individualized services and supports currently secured through the IPP process.
⚠️ The time to speak up is NOW.
HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY:
📞 Call DDS: 833-421-0061
Tell them:
"I oppose the Equitable and Consistent Needs Assessment proposal because it threatens individualized, person-centered services and undermines the IPP process."
📧 Email your Regional Center Executive Director and ask them to urge ARCA to oppose the proposal.

Many families do not know this proposal exists. The more people who speak up now, the greater the chance that lawmakers will hear our concerns before decisions are made.
The Lanterman Act guarantees individualized, person-centered services. Let's make sure those protections remain strong for future generations.
