On average, a first responder dies by su***de every month in Washington state. In recognition of World Su***de Prevention Day on Sept. 10, BHCore, a UW School of Social Work innovation center, is launching its su***de-prevention resource guide to raise awareness about the mental health struggles faced by many first responders.

Their mission is twofold: to reimagine how frontline responders deliver emergency and crisis behavioral services and to transform how those dedicated responders are recruited, trained and supported.

Learn more about https://bhcore.org/resources/ and share the state’s first comprehensive guide to Mental Health & Su***de Prevention Resources.

As summer comes to an end, let’s take this time to reflect, recharge, and prepare for the season ahead with renewed energy and purpose. Take today to celebrate the hard work, we all deserve it. 💪❤️

Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894 thanks to workers who fought for fair hours & better conditions 🙌
So yes, your 3-day weekend was earned.

🔥 Today’s Challenge:
Stand up for yourself.
If something doesn’t feel right today — speak up, set a boundary, or say “no” without guilt.
You don’t have to explain your worth. You just have to honor it.

Believing in your goals is more than just wishing—it’s about backing yourself, even when it feels uncomfortable.
A lot of us grew up being told to stay quiet, not take up space, or keep our dreams to ourselves. But that ends today.

💬 If you’re struggling with self-doubt, try this:
Ask yourself, “What would I say to my best friend if they were feeling this way?”
Then give that same kindness and encouragement to YOU. Out loud.

✨ Real growth often looks like:
– Saying no without guilt
– Sharing your dream with someone you trust
– Taking one small step forward, even if it’s scary

You deserve to stand up for what you believe in — and that includes believing in yourself.
