Tri County Woodturners The core mission of the Tri-County Woodturners and the AAW is to promote the continuing education of its members in the art of Wood Turning.

The next meeting of the Tri County Woodturners will be Wednesday, September 2nd at the Lutz Community Center. Doors open about 6pm, the meeting starts at 6:30.

This month there will be two Turn and Learns. The first will be at the Land O’Lakes library on Saturday, Sept 5th. Sign up on the library website. The second will be on Saturday, Sept 19th at Steve Hood’s shop in Lakeland. Sign up will be at our September meeting.

Our demonstrator for the September meeting will be Jeff Langsner. He will demonstrate the use of 3D printing for woodturners.

Please bring wood for the raffle.

On Wednesday August 5, 2026 will be the next meeting of the TriCounty Woodturners. The doors open at 6 pm with meeting starting at 0630 pm. The demonstrator will be Steve Hood showing how to turn hollow form inserts (thread chasing).

There will be no meeting of the Tri County Woodturners in July. The Lutz Community Center is still closed. Repairs to the building are scheduled to be finished by July 4th, but seem to be lagging behind schedule. Our lathe and other equipment is inaccessible.

June 3, 2026: Demonstrator will be Chris Parker, an internationally-known woodturner from the UK. He will be demonstrating embellishing.

The next meeting of the Tri County Woodturners will be Wednesday, May 6th at the Lutz Community Center. Doors open at about 6pm and the meeting starts at 6:30. Our demonstrator will be Mark Nienstadt. He will be demonstrating how to make creative pen blanks.

There will be two Turn and Learns in May.

The first will be at the Land O’Lakes Library on Saturday, May 2nd. Our project will be a simple bowl. Signup is now open on the Pasco Library website. All is free.

The second will be on Saturday, May 23rd at Steve Hood’s shop in Lakeland. As usual, bring your own wood and tools. You can get help on any project that interests you. The cost is $15 and mostly covers lunch.

Just a reminder to pay your 2026 dues if you have not already done so.

And …please bring some wood for the auction.
