June 3, 2026: Demonstrator will be Chris Parker, an internationally-known woodturner from the UK. He will be demonstrating embellishing.

The next meeting of the Tri County Woodturners will be Wednesday, May 6th at the Lutz Community Center. Doors open at about 6pm and the meeting starts at 6:30. Our demonstrator will be Mark Nienstadt. He will be demonstrating how to make creative pen blanks.

There will be two Turn and Learns in May.

The first will be at the Land O’Lakes Library on Saturday, May 2nd. Our project will be a simple bowl. Signup is now open on the Pasco Library website. All is free.

The second will be on Saturday, May 23rd at Steve Hood’s shop in Lakeland. As usual, bring your own wood and tools. You can get help on any project that interests you. The cost is $15 and mostly covers lunch.

Just a reminder to pay your 2026 dues if you have not already done so.

And …please bring some wood for the auction.

At the next meeting of the TriCounty Woodturner on Wednesday April 1, 2026: Rick Donaldson will be demonstrating sharpening tools. The doors open at 6pm with the meeting to start at 06:30 pm. Guests and Visitors always Welcome.

It Turns Into March

Now that the Florida Woodturning Symposium and the Florida State Fair are over (what great events!), we once again focus on our club happenings.

The next meeting of the Tri County Woodturners will be on Wednesday, Mar 4th at the Lutz Community Center. Doors open about 6pm and the meeting starts at 6:30pm.

Our demonstrator will be Cliff Frank, giving a tutorial on hollowing. Cliff is a Steve Hood-trained man and has made great strides in his woodturning abilities. He is one of our Turn and Learn mentors. Be there so you can say: “I saw Cliff’s first demo.” I am quite sure there will be many more.

There will be only one Turn and Learn in March - Saturday the 7th at the Land O’Lakes Library. Sign up on the library’s website. The other T&L was replaced by the Tracey Lee all-day workshop on the 28th at Steve Hood’s shop. That workshop is full.

Please bring wood for the raffle.

On Wednesday March 4, 2026: Demonstrator will be Cliff Frank. Cliff will demonstrate how to hollow various sizes of vessels using various types of hollowing tools. Doors open at 6 pm with meeting starting at 0630 pm. Guests and Visitors always welcome. Remember to bring your turned items to Show & Tell.

The demonstrator for the February 4th club meeting will be Rudy Lopez. Rudy will demonstrate how to turn a crotch, including how to evaluate and cut one to turn. The doors open at 6pm with the meeting starting at 6;30 pm. Guests and Visitors always Welcome. Hope to see you there.
