GIFTED | A litter review from people who deal with a LOT of litter. 😹
Moon Forest () sent us some of their Tofu & Tapioca Cat Litter to try with our foster kittens. They didn’t pay us for this review — and all opinions (including those of our very opinionated tiny product testers 😂) are entirely our own.
Being a foster-based rescue means our kittens don’t live in a facility - they live in our homes. Which means...so do their litter boxes. So believe us when we say - we care about litter.
Full disclosure, our current batch of foster kittens were NOT convinced at first. There was a brief period of, “Actually, we think the floor is the bathroom now.” 😑 But once they adjusted to the new litter, we ended up being really impressed.
The clumping? 10/10. It forms really solid, easily scoopable clumps.
The odor control? 10/10. This is probably our favorite part. It actually smells GOOD. Which feels like a very strange thing to say about cat litter, but here we are.
It’s made from tofu and tapioca and is designed to dissolve in water, which is also pretty darn cool. Is it a little pricier than some traditional litters? Yep. But...the litter box is sitting inside the same house where we live. And smell. And breathe. For us, great clumping and a house that doesn’t smell like foster kittens have taken over is worth paying a little more for.
The KoA foster-home verdict:
⭐️ 10/10 for clumping
⭐️ 10/10 for smell
⭐️ Would absolutely use again
And Moon Forest, if you happen to be looking for rescue partners, we are all ears. And whiskers. And tails. 😹 With foster kittens living in homes all over Los Angeles, litter is one thing we can always put to very good use. Send us more! Look at Minnie's approving face! (She's still looking for her forever home!)
Thank you to Moon Forest for sending some our way and letting our tiny product testers give it a try! 🐱🌙🌲
