Join us for a family-friendly movie night at Marson Park. We will be projecting Hoppers (2026) on a big screen, along with Spanish subtitles🦫🔬🦎🌳

We will have a light dinner and refreshments. Bring your own chair, blankets, and snacks!🍿

🌟Golden Age Community Garden has entered its Golden Era🌟

Months ago, we made the decision to pause gardening operations due to pest issues. Stepping away was difficult, but our first concern is our community’s health and safety. This time also allowed for us to think about what the space needs going forward. With support from land_recycling, U.S. Bank, and Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez we were able to:

🪏Remove the old soil and disassemble the six worn-down wooden garden beds.

🌱Build new aluminum raised beds with rodent protection and fill up the beds with soil and amendment.

🩵Host a very special reopening and a welcome back to all of the gardeners who grow in this space.

This transformation would not have been possible without our incredible volunteers (pictured on side 2)! We are also grateful to Keren’s504 fresh Fruits for providing us with delicious fruit and our partners KYCC, L.A. County Mental Health, and Los Angeles CCNP for the community resources and partnership ✏️🥭

In dense urban landscapes like Koreatown and Westlake, green spaces are essential, not a luxury. Connecting with nature and neighbors supports our mental health, brings us joy, and reminds us that we are part of something larger🌀

🌟Golden Age Community Garden has entered its Golden Era🌟

Months ago, we made the decision to pause gardening operations due to pest issues. Stepping away was difficult, but our first concern is our community’s health and safety. 🫟CLASSES START THIS SATURDAY! ¡LAS CLASES EMPIEZAN ESTE SÁBADO!🫟

🎨✏️🧵Growing Creativity in Our Parks is a four session outdoor arts education series presented through a partnership between Coloured Art Studio and the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust. Each week, young artists will explore the work of a contemporary Black or Brown artist and create an original project inspired by their storytelling, artistic style, and creative process.

Through hands-on experiences with pattern, texture, sculpture, mixed media, and new artistic techniques, students will strengthen their creativity, build confidence, and connect with one another while creating in the natural beauty of their neighborhood park 🌳🧶

🎨✏️🧵Cultivando la creatividad en nuestros parques es un serie de cuatro sesiones de educación artística al aire libre organizado gracias a la colaboración entre Coloured Art Studio y Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust. Cada semana, los jóvenes artistas explorarán la obra de un artista contemporáneo negro o de origen latino y crearán un proyecto original inspirado en su narrativa, su estilo artístico y su proceso creativo.
