There's still time to join us as we celebrate our 60th anniversary with a live reading of Star Trek’s classic episode “The Man Trap” (available to read in the WGF Library) on August 30!

Noah Wyle will perform the role of Captain Kirk alongside Katherine LaNasa, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Shabana Azeez, and Ayesha Harris of The Pitt.

Doors open at 7:00 pm PT. The event starts at 8:00 pm PT and will be viewable via livestream. All proceeds will help the Foundation’s Library, Archive, programs, and events live long and prosper.

Introducing the 2026 cohort of the Veterans Fellowship!

Please join us in congratulating this year’s fellows: Jon-Alexander Genson, Kat Castañeda, Manda K. Skelton, Shain Brenden, and Shannon Corbeil.

Fellows will be paired with the following mentors who bring a wealth of experience and expertise: Dennis Lehane (Smoke, Black Bird), David Schulner (New Amsterdam, Memory of a Killer), Aron Eli Coleite (The Spiderwick Chronicles, Locke & Key), Dayo Adesokan (Superstore, Party Down), and Brian Studler (The Blacklist, Motherland: Fort Salem). Writer and development executive Eli Edelson (Motherland: Fort Salem) will return as the core instructor.

We had an incredible time celebrating Emmy-nominated writers at Sublime Primetime 2026 last week!

Applications for the 2027 cycle of the Writers’ Access Support Staff Training Program are now open! The deadline to submit applications is September 13.

The 14-week program is designed to advance the inclusion and employment of underrepresented writers in the television industry. Writers who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled, and/or are over the age of 50 are encouraged to apply.
