Check out this fascinating new research about the online lives of young men:

A joint report by Reset Tech and Equimundo. There is a multi-billion-dollar industry built on the loneliness, economic anxiety, and identity of men. It does not call itself an industry. It calls itself a movement, a brotherhood, a path to success. It presents itself as the antidote to a society that has failed men — and in doing so, it sells them the very things that keep them isolated, financially drained, and psychologically dependent on the young men profiting from their struggle. This report documents the industry: its mechanics, its actors, its revenue, and the young men it targets.

It is a report about financial predation, not culture war. It is a report about consumer fraud and how ideology is used to sell a product. It is a report that argues, with evidence, that the most important thing missing from public debate about men online is an honest account of who is making money from their vulnerability, and how.

Over the course of this investigation, Reset Tech and Equimundo mapped the commercial infrastructure of what we call the male grievance industry – the ecosystem of online creators, platforms, membership schemes, educational products, and funding networks that monetize male vulnerability at scale.

An Equimundo and Reset Tech report covering the grift economy's actors, tactics, and effects on young men's well-being.

The ***de and statistics about men are not only about cis-hetero men. LGBTQIA+ men are part of the male population in those numbers, even when data sets do not name them clearly. Separate research also shows elevated risks. The CDC notes that su***de risk is higher among people who identify as le***an, gay, or bisexual, while also acknowledging that data on sexual-minority su***de deaths remains limited (CDC, 2024). The Trevor Project’s 2025 survey found that 36 percent of LGBTQIA+ young people considered su***de in the past year, including 24 percent of cisgender boys and men and 43 percent of transgender boys and men (Trevor Project, 2025).

Happy Mama’s Day from the Mamas’ Boys. Tell and show your mother how much your appreciate her, and share a Mamas’ Boys podcast with her!

Even though episode 5 is our final one for this season, it was recorded shortly after the Bondi Beach attacks during Hanukkah. And despite the recording date, the discussion about Jewish men and protection remains relevant now. As antisemitism continues to show it's violent face, Jewish men are asking what does it mean to protect oneself and family? Should I carry a gun? We answer these questions and many more during our conversation with Salvador Litvak, writer and director, and Mark Feuerstein, star, of the movie, Guns and Moses (Amazon)Thank you to all of our listeners and supporters during this first season. Most especially, we would like to thank the Foundation for Jewish Life. Without their support as well as that of FJMC International and our committee, Mamas' Boys would not be possible. Without you we wouldn't haven't been so successful. At the moment we are looking for funding for season 2 and plan to bring you some more great conversations at the intersection of Judaism, masculinity and manhood. See you in Season 2 - The Mamas' Boys Team!
