highlights just how incredible octopuses are: they can solve puzzles, hold grudges, and deserve better than industrial farming, where their welfare is severely compromised. 🐙

In June, New York's octopus farming ban, championed by Assembly Member Tony Simone and Senator Monica Martinez, sailed through the legislature with overwhelming bipartisan support. New Yorkers want this ban in place before cruel industrial octopus farms can get their tentacles into our state's waterways.

Now we just need one person to put ink to paper: Governor Hochul. ✍️

Corn tortillas
1 cup mushrooms, sliced or whole
1 cup lentils, cooked
1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup corn, frozen or canned

Instructions:
1. Sauté the mushrooms until they are tender.
2. Add the lentils, black beans, and corn to the mushrooms.
3. Season with spices of your choice; we recommend cumin, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.
4. Cook until heated through.
5. Serve on corn tortillas and top with guacamole, diced tomatoes, and greens.
