Los Angeles Business Council The LABC unites the power of business with the power of government for education and advocacy to prom

The Los Angeles Business Council (LABC) has been impacting the Los Angeles business landscape for over 70 years. Originally founded as a West Los Angeles-based organization that facilitated the growth of the University of California Los Angeles’ burgeoning campus, the LABC quickly expanded its role in both education and advocacy. In the process, the Council became an influential link between busin

ess and city government and has had a major impact on sustainability, workforce housing, transportation, job creation, education and business development policy. Today, the LABC is considered one of the most effective and influential advocacy and educational organizations in California. By carefully targeting policy areas and creating a holistic, broad-based approach to problem resolution, the LABC is able to serve businesses while informing and impacting positive change at multiple layers of city government.

Los Angeles Business Council’s 55th Annual Architectural Awards honoring architects, contractors, developers, and owners who build Los Angeles. Watch the highlights on our channel- link in bio 🔗
“For more than half a century, these awards have honored the people and projects shaping Los Angeles — celebrating innovation, design excellence, and the creative spirit that defines our city. This year, we also gathered with a renewed sense of purpose. We began the year facing devastation from the Altadena Eaton and Palisades wildfires, which displaced families, destroyed homes, and tested the strength of our communities. Yet, as the Los Angeles region always does, we’ve come together — rebuilding, reimagining, and looking forward with optimism. Today’s celebration reflects that resilience — proof that from loss comes renewal, and from challenge, a stronger more sustainable region. At the Los Angeles Business Council, our mission is to advance policies that drive both economic growth and environmental sustainability — two principles beautifully reflected in the projects we celebrate here today.”
