Miriam's House Miriam’s House is a non profit sober home for women and their children🌺 Keeping families togeth

Miriam's House is a 15 bedroom converted convent located in Culver City, California. It is a recovery home for mothers and a refuge for children to escape chaos and instability. The yearlong program nurtures the individual needs of both mother and child while fostering the healing process of fractured families. It is not a place for temporary shelter, though we provide food, clothing, and safety. Rather, it is about mothers developing the life-long skills, including parenting and occupational therapy, to lead healthy, meaningful lives free from the confines of poverty and addiction.

Yesterday, we were delighted to host the Westside Coalition Honoree Luncheon at Miriam’s House! We loved opening our doors to a remarkable group of individuals whose inspiring stories and dedication are making a meaningful impact in our community.

As a proud member of the Westside Coalition, we’re honored to be part of a network that celebrates the people and organizations working to create positive change across the Westside.

We’re especially excited that Miriam’s House alumna Natalie Barajas will be honored at the 31st Annual Westside Coalition Success Breakfast! 💙

Year after year, you have shown up for us with scoops in hand and warm smiles, making our guests feel like kids again. You have truly become part of the fabric of this event, and we cannot picture Polo in the Palisades without you.

It starts at sunrise, with a small group of people unloading trucks before anyone else arrives. It’s folding chairs, clipboards, and last-minute runs. That’s the version our volunteers live every single year.

Eighteen years of thunder on the turf. Eighteen years of friends becoming family. Eighteen years of showing up for something bigger than any one of us.

This year’s Polo in the Palisades is behind us now, and all we feel is grateful. Grateful for every sponsor who believed in our mission of keeping families together. Every guest who dressed up, showed up, and celebrated with us. Every volunteer who gave their time without ever being asked twice. And every honoree whose story reminded us why we do this at all.

We laughed. We cheered. We hugged people we hadn’t seen in years. We made memories we’ll be talking about until next year.
