As Los Angeles prepares to host the world’s biggest sporting events, one thing is clear: ICE is not part of the welcome.

The workers who keep this city running, the street vendors serving our communities, the transit riders getting to and from work, and the families who live around our stadiums deserve to feel safe—not fear being stopped, detained, or separated from their loved ones.

No one should have to worry about making it home because ICE agents are operating near transit, workplaces, or mega-events. That’s not hospitality. That’s not safety. And it’s not the Los Angeles we believe in.

As kick-off approaches at SoFi Stadium, we stand with immigrant communities and demand dignity, safety, and freedom of movement for all.

📢 NO ICE! NO RAIDS ON OUR RIDES!

The world is coming to Los Angeles. Let’s show them a city that protects its people—not one that terrorizes them.

ICE is never welcome in Los Angeles.

Congestion pricing can help solve traffic in LA — but it must be done responsibly and effectively. Revenues must return to public transportation resources and must not burden low-income communities.

Transit is a lifeline for so many of our communities. 🚌
One South LA resident, transit rider, and community member currently experiencing homelessness shared why fareless transit matters:
“In a time of crisis — rising food costs, rising housing costs — a fareless transit system would support families, workers, our environment, everything.”
Affordable transit means people can get to work, access resources, care for their families, and stay connected to their communities without having to choose between a bus fare or basic necessities.
We deserve a transit system that works for all of us. ✊🏽

Affordable, reliable transit is about more than getting from point A to point B — it’s about making it possible for working people to show up for each other. ✊🏽

Last week, our colleagues at JMA rode the D Line to City Hall in solidarity with hotel and airport workers fighting to protect their hard-won wage increase. Public transit is how people get to work, organize, and build power in their communities.

That’s why we’re fighting for a transit system that is accessible, affordable, and rooted in dignity for working people — because public dollars should expand access, not create barriers.

Care keeps riders safe. 🧡
Fund outreach, mental health, and housing support — not more enforcement. Every dollar should back the green shirts and care teams that actually make transit feel safe.

LA bus riders often wait up to 20 minutes on a weekday for their bus to arrive, adding time to long work days and hassle to tight schedules. But it doesn’t have to be this way!

Growing the Metro bus fleet and adding dedicated bus lanes ensures fast and reliable transit.

It’s budget season, so demand that Metro invests in expanding the bus fleet so Angelenos don’t need to wait forever.

Metro Ambassadors are a vital part of a safe transit experience. They can help with so many different aspects that can lead to a decreased police presence. They help with wayfinding, fare issues, emergencies, and more. Yet, they are understaffed.

It’s budget season, so demand that Metro invests in expanding and doubling the amount of metro ambassadors.

Congrats to LTSC and LA Metro for creating these beautiful 187 affordable homes connected to transit along Vermont Avenue, the busiest transit corridor in LA!

Measure ULA funded a part of these affordable homes and this is only the beginning! With Council’s award yesterday of $360mil from ULA for affordable homes, we will see an additional 2,000 affordable homes - 48% of the total that are social housing! Plus another NOFA with more ULA funding we expect later this year! ULA is working as intended!
