One At A Time

One At A Time Join me in my mission to feed the homeless one day at a time. With your help, those that are less fortunate will have a better chance at survival.

According to The National Coalition for the Homeless "Los Angeles [city and county] is the homeless capital of the United States with over 73,000 homeless people in the County of Los Angeles, approximately 50% of that in the City of Los Angeles." The United States Census Bureau recorded that there were 9.963 million people living in Los Angeles County in 2012. The ratio to those with homes vs. tho

se without is approximately 135 to 1. Imagine if everyone in the County of Los Angeles were to feed one less fortunate person a day. These struggling individuals would have a significant chance at survival. We may not be able to provide shelter or health assistance for these unfortunate individuals, but serving them a bottle of water and a single meal can easily better their chances of living another day. Please join me in my mission to feed the homeless one day at a time. We see struggling individuals everyday. Rather than giving them money to spend on their own wants and rather than passing them by without a second thought, please take the time to give them one meal. One meal so that they might survive another day. From this day on I am going to try my best to do the following as much as possible. (As much as I'd like to do this everyday, it's pretty much near impossible with my work schedule.):
-Put together a meal/purchase a meal for an individual.
-Explain the purpose of my actions.
-Ask to take a picture of or with them and post that picture on this page and share a little bit about the individual. Please join me in this journey and post on this page as you feel led to. I truly believe that this is something worth investing your time. Here are some tips that I have come up with that I will update as time goes on.
-Give food that does not need to be refrigerated.
-Include a bottle of water with food.
-Get the individuals name.
-Start a journal with the names of the people you meet.
-Pray for these individuals.
-Be considerate with your words.
-Do not do this for self recognition, do this with a sincere heart of serving.
