The March to End Animal Testing has reached another powerful milestone. Marchers left Fort Plain, New York, this morning and are traveling another 15 miles to Little Falls—bringing the total distance covered to an extraordinary 74 miles in just five days. But this journey is measured in more than miles. Every step represents an urgent demand to end animal experimentation, free the beagles and other animals confined in laboratories, and replace outdated testing with modern, human-relevant research methods.

Today’s coverage features action star and animal advocate Nina Bergman, who has been supporting the march through social media. Nina is the creator of the FierceNVegan app and co-host of the latest season of UnchainedTV’s award-winning vegan cooking show, “New Day New Chef.” UnchainedTV founder Jane Velez-Mitchell also joins us, while Jami Sassone continues reporting from the field. Tonight, Michael Budkie, A.H.T., co-founder and executive director of Stop Animal Exploitation NOW! (SAEN), will address the marchers remotely via Zoom. Today, determined activists, scientists, and compassionate citizens complete another grueling leg of this 14-day trek, pressing forward with a singular, unwavering mission: to march directly to the gates of Marshall Bioresources.
This is not just a march; it is a turning point. As society undergoes a profound cultural shift toward empathy and technological innovation rapidly accelerates, the outdated practice of animal experimentation is facing unprecedented scrutiny. Across the nation, public awareness is reaching a fever pitch. People from all walks of life are waking up to the reality that sentient beings—especially gentle dogs like the thousands of beagles bred, caged, and tested on behind closed doors—deserve freedom, not exploitation.
Modern science has already proven that we can innovate without cruelty. Advanced non-animal technologies, organ-on-a-chip systems, and sophisticated computer modeling render animal testing obsolete, making the continued use of living, breathing animals an ethical and scientific failure.
The demands of this growing national movement are clear, absolute, and unyielding:
The immediate release of all beagles currently held in laboratory facilities.
The total closure of all animal testing facilities across the United States.
The complete termination of all government funding for archaic and cruel animal experimentation.

Marshall BioResources denies allegations of animal cruelty, saying they’ve gotten a clean bill of health from the USDA.
