We had so many incredible voices on the stage at our March 29 Champions of Free Speech luncheon at The Ebell of Los Angeles! Today we want to highlight two of these inspiring women:⁣

Stacy Brightman, CEO of the Ebell of LA - thank you for your vision, your warmth, and for making the Ebell a place where women’s voices have always belonged. ⁣

Cynthia Jones of Delta Sigma Theta - your perspective brought women’s history and power into the room in the most beautiful way.⁣

More speaker spotlights coming soon! Thank you as always to our amazing attendees for supporting LWSD and the women whose stories we work every day to tell. We couldn’t do this work without you. ⁣

On March 29, our community gathered at the beautiful to celebrate women who have shaped and defended free expression across generations. Thank you to Ebell CEO Stacy Brightman, Cynthia Jones of Delta Sigma Theta, and Supervisor Lindsey Horvath for lending your voices to this important conversation. ⁣

And congratulations to our honoree, Bonnie Abaunza, whose decades of work at the intersection of entertainment, policy, and global justice continue to inspire. Guests connected over great conversation and got in on some amazing silent auction finds — all in support of the women’s stories we work so hard to tell. ⁣

This event was made possible by the generosity of the Renée B. Fisher Foundation, Edgar Martien & Petroleum Coordinators, Inc., Mame Hunt, and Sonay & Erick Hoffman. Thank you for believing in this work. ⁣

And to our attendees - thank you for showing up for women’s voices, supporting LWSD and the creation and free sharing of films honoring remarkable women, past, present, and future. We couldn’t do this work without your support. ⁣
