Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health. For communities of color, mental health is deeply influenced by culture, family, identity, language, stigma, and access to care. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take the first step toward healing—reach out to your doctor today. Remember, you’re never alone in this journey.

We mourn with our community.

AADAP is heartbroken by the tragic loss of Reginald “BA” Foreman, a valued member of 2nd Call who was senselessly killed while doing what he cared deeply about—showing up for his community.

Reginald understood that safer neighborhoods are built through service, relationships, and investing in people’s dignity. Through his work with 2nd Call and Destination Crenshaw, and as a baseball coach and mentor to local youth, he made a difference in the lives of many.

At AADAP, our GRYD program is rooted in that same commitment: working alongside residents, young people, families, and community partners to prevent violence, build trust, and create safer and stronger neighborhoods.

We extend our deepest condolences to Reginald’s family, loved ones, the 2nd Call team, and everyone grieving this devastating loss.

We honor BA by continuing our collective work for more peaceful communities.

On Saturday we were thrilled to participate at the 45th Annual Lotus Festival honoring host country Sri Lanka🇱🇰 It was a beautiful day of community and joy to celebrate the multicultural fabric of Los Angeles.

Led by our Youth & Family Programs, we loved sharing more about our community prevention, substance use treatment, and workforce advancement services that help people build stable and healthy lives. As is tradition at AADAP, our residential clients, alumni, and youth and family program staff participated in the Dragon Boat Races across Echo Park Lake!

Thank you 45th Lotus Festival for another vibrant summer celebration 🪷☀️
