Honoring Excellence in Collegiate Golf!

Friends of Golf (FOG) is proud to support the Ben Hogan Award, given annually to the top male collegiate golfer in the United States.

The Ben Hogan Trophy was established in 1990 by Tom Harmon, Bel-Air member and FOG Chairman, who wanted an award as prestigious as his own Heisman Trophy. In 2001, Colonial Country Club partnered with FOG as a co-sponsor of the Ben Hogan Award, joining forces with the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) to recognize qualities that define the next generation of great golfers.

After votes from the Selection Committee, the 10 semifinalists for The Ben Hogan Award presented by Baird have officially been announced. James and Koivun return as semifinalists for the third straight year, while Maas earns his second consecutive nod. Koivun, the 2024 recipient and a finalist last year, is the only player in the field with prior finalist experience.

Congratulations to Jackson Koivun, the Ben Hogan Award February Golfer of the Month! Ranked No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, he captured victories at the Amer Ari Invitational and the Gator Invitational, marking his seventh collegiate win and setting a new school record at Auburn University.
