101 Heroes is a non-profit organization who believes in the power of education as a tool to uplift families living in poverty. Our mission is to build learning centers which provide books, computers, and teaching aids to underprivileged families living in rural villages in the Philippines and Africa. Since this humanitarian project began in 2009, 101 Heroes extends its humanitarian projects by awarding scholarships to exemplary and deserving children. These scholarships ease the burden of impoverished families to provide education for their children who wish to go to school. With an increasing amount of support, 101 Heroes is continuously expanding our projects in order to continue impacting the lives of children. With your help, we will be able to provide more access to libraries, learning centers, and scholarships. Any donation, small or large, makes a huge impact on a child's dream to learn to read and write. Remember, heroes are not made overnight but they are made by full inspiration and love to achieve one goal. You can be a child's hero by joining 101 Heroes' efforts today. Be a part of this success story!

MANILA, Philippines —Walk into many public schools across the Philippines, and you’ll often find a learning center with names you don’t recognize. These are not the names of politicians

Early last year, my good friend Seán Saba learned that I was raising funds for our 25th project and he playfully messaged me "Asking for a friend, how does one get to name a library after them?" hahaha. I knew immediately he was thinking of doing this for his parents.

Sean and his husband Bill wanted to do it and they got the entire Saba family involved. A year later, we have the Nora and Purito Library.

I also want to thank my own friends for supporting 101 Heroes! This is what you helped build! Because of you, this project will help the kids of San Miguel National High School's over 10,000 students.

Thanks a million for supporting 101Heroes.org -- this would not have been possible without you! ❤️❤️❤️

Several private schools in Los Angeles have graciously supported my nonprofit organization, 101 Heroes, by donating books from their libraries. I carefully sort through these donations in my garage before shipping them to the Philippines. This generous support not only allows us to save a significant amount of money but also ensures that these books receive a second life, enriching the lives of individuals 7,500 miles away on the other side of the world.
