If you ever find a baby squirrel who looks too young to be on his own, here's what to do: snap a photo and call us first. We can help you figure out if reunion with mom is still possible.

If it's not, the safest option is a box with air holes no food, no water brought straight to us. We know it's tempting to feed a hungry-looking cute baby, but please resist. At this age, squirrels can easily aspirate liquid or food into their lungs, and that can be fatal. Feeding babies takes real technique, and it's what we're trained for.

When in doubt, call before you do anything else. It's the difference-maker

I knew it was only a matter of time before the squirrel started throwing pine cones at me A couple of them do actually hit me too.

We lived here a year and I didn't see a single squirrel. I was sad because where we lived previously in Calgary and Banff there was tons of them and I really enjoyed watching them. About a week ago this one squirrel showed up in our yard and has been here every day since in our trees. Just one. Non stop making a pinecone stash. Busy busy busy

I was walking down the road when this little squirrel spotted me and came running over. 🐿️🥹❤️ Maybe it remembered that I always have a little something to share.

It came straight to me for a bite to eat, and honestly, moments like this are why I love these little creatures so much. 🌰🐿️

Sometimes, love doesn’t need words… just a tiny squirrel running toward you is enough. ❤️🥰🐿️
