Welcome to the 42nd Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, presented by Visual Communications 💛

Since our founding in 1970, Visual Communications has existed to develop, support, and empower storytellers, artists, and mediamakers with the goal of uplifting individuals and communities.

Across 42 iterations of the Festival, we have had the pleasure of welcoming new members into our community each year—new artists, new Armed With a Camera Fellows, Digital Histories filmmakers, and now, Archives Artists in Residence among festival alumni whose work continues to thrive. Alongside them, we honor with reverence those whose footsteps we follow: pioneers, trailblazers, and longtime friends whose legacies remind us both how far we have come and how many similar challenges remain.
Times change. Art evolves. Progress, as we know, often takes time. And so, our purpose continues.

Once again, we surface from our home in the basement of the Union Center building in Little Tokyo to shed light and gather with you to celebrate, reflect, and imagine what comes next.

Our history and our tomorrow will be written by all of us, together.

And through it all, we remain committed to our promise to showcase, preserve, and remember.

With love,
Visual Communications
