Southern California Cricket Association - SCCA Mission: To nurture the growth of game of Cricket by providing top class environment and a clean administration to the Cricket loving community of S. CA.

SCCA is a non-profit organization serving the cricket loving community of S. Boundaries are there only on the Cricket field, but the sport transcends the lives of everyone who is passionate about it. The seed of Cricket sown in S. CA in 1930s has grown to be a huge tree with close to 50 teams enjoying this sport every year from March to November. The team locations and their home grounds range fro

m San Diego to Santa Barbara and to Highland, but the main hub is at the Woodley Park in Van Nuys, where currently there are 4 top class Cricket grounds with turf wickets maintained by SCCA with a great deal of help from the City. The work on developing the fifth ground is in progress. SCCA provides a mixture of fun and competitiveness through 4 divisions. Division 1 naturally attracts the younger and more competitive players, while Division 4 is of the more of the fun oriented pastime for the oldies, but still upholding the rules and spirit of the game. SCCA also supports a great Youth Program to promote the game to the local communities with an aim to nurture the values and ethics of sportsmanship.

SCCA was proud to host a special - LA28 Cricket Day at Woodley Park, bringing together youth cricketers, women cricketers, families, volunteers, and community members to celebrate the growth of cricket ahead of the 2028 Olympics.

We were honored to welcome Olympian Queen Harrison Claye, who joined participants throughout the day and presented medals to the winners.

Highlights of the event included:
🏏 Youth and Women's cricket matches
🏅 Medal presentations
🎯 Cricket demonstrations and introductory sessions
🤝 Community engagement and Olympic awareness activities

SCCA extends its sincere thanks to the LA28 Committee, participants, parents, volunteers, coaches, and Board members whose support made this event a success.

Together, we continue to build excitement for cricket's return to the Olympics and grow the game throughout Southern California.

SCCA Memorial Day at Woodley Park!

A wonderful day of remembrance as SCCA members, families, and friends came together to honor members of our cricket community who are no longer with us.

The day included youth cricket matches and an exhibition game between Presidents XI vs Board XI played in tribute to the honored members.

SCCA Opening Day was a fantastic success with a great turnout supporting our Youth and Women’s cricket games! 🏏

Honored to have Councilwoman Imelda Padilla, Former Congressman Jim Bates, and LA Parks & Recreation GM Jimmy Kim join us.

Fun activities for kids, great cricket, and amazing support from teams and families made it a memorable day. Thank you to all the volunteers and the Opening Day Committee!
