Niketia & Son were given keys to their new home, and a fresh start in the very unit I’m interviewing her in🏡
She was just told by HomeLight that she had shelter with them. A place to catch her breath and figure things out, as the program provides 8 services to help moms find their way back home, and to stability.
She wasn’t on the list of moms who wanted to share her story, but she wanted to, and we were happy to welcome her.Niketia wants to be a voice and example of resilience for women who are in search of home- and themselves again.
Niketia also dreams of owning an ice cream truck one day so she can be an encouragement and guiding light in her neighborhood and to other single moms💫
The event at the end is the Mother’s Day Brunch fundraiser I produced/hosted to raise money to continue supporting the services that keep these moms afloat. And they are always in need.
