In Los Angeles, a landlord cannot legally remove you from your home without going through the court process. That means no changing locks, shutting off utilities or forcing you out... even if you owe rent. The ONLY legal way to remove a tenant is through a court order, followed by the Sheriff.

If your landlord has locked you out or is threatening to, it may be an illegal lockout. Reach out to our team to understand your rights and next steps. 📞 Call our hotline 7 days a week for help: 213-584-1808
