💔 GEORGE HAS WAITED FAR TOO LONG. 💔

George was rescued in 2024 and brought to the Philozoia Animal Rescue sanctuary. Then the devastating Palisades fire ripped through the sanctuary, turning his world upside down once again.

Since then, George has been shuffled between boarding facilities and temporary foster homes. He is still waiting for the one thing every dog deserves—a safe, loving home to call his own.

We are heartbroken and honestly don’t know what else to do. George does not deserve to keep living this way. Please open your heart and consider becoming his long-term foster or forever family. If you cannot take him in, please share his story. The right person may be one share away.

George is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready to go! We are located in Santa Monica in the Los Angeles area.

The sad story of Buffy…
Buffy was adopted 6 years ago at 10 months old…The adopters seemed like they loved her and seemed like this was her forever home. Yesterday we received a call from a good sam, who found Buffy a few doors down the street from her adopters. When they went to their door, the adopters pretended they did not know Buffy. When our rescue reached out to check what was going on, they nonchalantly said that she ran away and did not inquire how to get her back.
Buffy deserves better than this!!!
She loves all dogs, big and small, children and every person she meets. The good sam cannot hold onto her so we need an emergency foster to even host her for a couple of days while we find a more permanent solution. Can anyone please step up and give our darling girl the dignity that she deserves? We need an angel🩵🩵🩵🙏

🚨 URGENT FOSTERS & ADOPTERS NEEDED! 🚨

Oh my gosh—we just rescued 24 dogs from euthanasia! 💔 A total of 59 dogs were scheduled to be put down, and we stepped up to save as many as we possibly could.

Thanks to an incredibly generous benefactor, these 24 dogs will be cared for safely for the next month. We are beyond grateful for this lifesaving gift—but that month will go by quickly, and we urgently need to find committed, long-term fosters or forever homes for every one of them!

Among the lives we saved are:

🐾 Nine beautiful 2-month-old blonde babies—their breed is unknown because they were surrendered without their mother.

🐾 Four adorable 9-month-old Lab mixes

🐾 A sweet Shepherd-mix mama and her newborn puppies

🐾 A gorgeous 1-year-old German Shepherd who is as gentle and kind as can be

🐾 A stunning Husky mix with the most soulful, luscious eyes

Altogether, we rescued 18 puppies and six beautiful young Shepherd and Husky-type dogs. They have received their vaccinations and microchips and now desperately need long-term foster homes or forever families.

We stepped up and saved their lives. Our wonderful benefactor stepped up to keep them safe for one month. Now we need you to step up and help secure their futures. 🙏🏼

This week a list of 59 animals needing to exit Devore came in an ominous email. Again, no time to prepare but act with courage and generosity hoping that the support will follow. In a course of 2 days we rescued 7 adults, 1 mom and her 7 puppies, and a litter of 9 puppies without a mom, totaling 24 lives saved. We are so thrilled to have been able to save such beautiful lives and now need all the support we can get to find adopters, fosters and donors.

Please reach out if you can foster a 2 month old puppy (9 of them available without a mom) or if you are looking for a gorgeous 1 year-old pure German Shepherd or a 5 year-old water and dog loving husky/shepherd mix.

All friendly, ages 10 months to 2 years, losing their lives because of space. No behavioral issues whatsoever. If you are able to Foster or adopt any of them, we would be able to save them. So if you’re serious about helping one of these dogs, please DM us with your commitment to foster. It is that simple and for these dogs it’s a matter of life and death.

🐾 PRINCESS GOT HER HAPPILY EVER AFTER! 🩶🏡 (Swipe left for her shelter video)

Princess is not just another statistic—she is one of the lucky ones who made it out alive. 🙏

Last October, Philozoia Animal Rescue saved Princess along with 10 other dogs from Lancaster Animal Shelter. All 11 were scheduled to be euthanized.

We try to rescue the dogs that so often get overlooked—the big dogs, the bully breeds, the ones who sit quietly waiting while people walk right past them. At 3 years old and 91 pounds, Princess was definitely one of those dogs. 💔

Then, several months ago at one of our adoption events, Taylor and Katie met Princess…and fell in love. 🥹🩶 They saw exactly what we saw: a sweet, loving, beautiful gray velvet hippo who deserved a family of her own.

Today, Princess is ADOPTED! 🎉🐾

We are beyond grateful for the people who step up to foster and adopt. Every adoption opens a space for us to save another life.

Have the most beautiful life, baby girl. You waited for your family, and they finally found you. 🩶🐾

🚨 URGENT CRATE DONATIONS NEEDED! 🚨

Philozoia Animal Rescue has completely run out of extra-large dog crates, and we urgently need TWO crates for two of our 75-lb rescue dogs. 🐾❤️

We are looking for:

🐶 42–48 inch black metal dog crates
🐶 48-inch crates preferred
🐶 New or used is absolutely fine as long as they’re in good, safe condition!

Do you have a large crate sitting in your garage or storage that you no longer use? Please consider donating it to our rescue! 🙏 Every donated crate means we can put those funds toward veterinary care, food, boarding, and saving more dogs.

🚨 URGENT — GEORGE NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER ASAP! 🚨 (Swipe left)

💔 TWO YEARS. That’s how long sweet George has been waiting for a home — through no fault of his own.

Rescued two years ago, George lived at our Topanga sanctuary until the Palisades fires destroyed it. Since then, he’s been moved between fosters and boarding and is now in a Rover boarding situation.

He urgently needs stability and a home. 🙏🐾

George is a Scott American Bulldog, approx. 70 lbs, tall, lean, and stunning. He’s affectionate, people-loving, and full of kisses ❤️

🎉 LOLA GOT ADOPTED! 🐾💗

We are so incredibly happy to share that our sweet Lola has officially been ADOPTED and is now home with her forever family! 🏡❤️

Lola was rescued from euthanasia on May 29 by Philozoia Animal Rescue, and today she gets the happy ending she always deserved.

We are so grateful to Jennette and her family Jeanette and Cindy and her family Zeus for opening their homes and hearts to foster Lola along the way. It truly takes a village. ❤️

Without our amazing fosters and adopters, we simply cannot continue saving more dogs who desperately need us.

Have the sweetest, happiest life, little girl. You are so loved. 🐶💕
