GREAT NEWS FOR THE MONTEBELLO WOMAN’S CLUB!

“Honoring Our Past, Investing in Our Future”

The Montebello Woman’s Club is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the federally funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for Historic Preservation — a major milestone for our beloved clubhouse and for the community we serve.

Built in 1925, our officially designated Historic Clubhouse has stood for more than a century as a gathering place, a service hub, and a symbol of women’s leadership in Montebello. While rich in history, the building has long needed care, restoration, and modernization. Thanks to this federal funding, that long‑awaited revitalization is finally on the way.

This achievement is the result of dedicated teamwork. Members of the Montebello Woman’s Club came together with determination, research, and heart to apply for this highly competitive federal grant. The process was rigorous, detailed, and demanding — but our commitment to preserving this community treasure never wavered.

And now, we are honored to say: we met the criteria, we qualified, and we were selected.

This funding will allow us to begin essential repairs and improvements that will ensure our clubhouse continues to serve as a vibrant center for:

* community events
* educational programs
* club meetings
* celebrations
* rentals that support local families and organizations

We invite the community to follow along as this historic building receives the love, attention, and restoration it deserves. The transformation will honor its past while preparing it for the next 100 years of service.

We are deeply grateful, incredibly proud, and excited for what’s ahead.

May is our Montebello Woman’s Club Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership and Heacock Scholarship Awards Month, and we are bursting with pride!

What an incredible evening! 🎉

Montebello Woman's Club, in collaboration with Mayor Pro Tem Danielle Romero, proudly hosted our very first Montebello Youth Who Inspire Dinner — and it was truly unforgettable!

We were honored to recognize two amazing young Montebello residents, Isaiah Roa and Jasmine Serrano, both nominated for their exceptional resilience, courage, and growth in the face of challenges. These inspiring youth rise above adversity and use their experiences to uplift, encourage, and motivate those around them.

Guests enjoyed a delicious Italian dinner that ended with the most amazing cheesecake. A heartfelt thank‑you to the Montebello businesses that generously donated gifts for our honorees — your support made the night even more special.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to Senator Bob Archuleta and First District County Supervisor Hilda Solis for providing beautiful recognition certificates for Isaiah and Jasmine. Your acknowledgment meant so much to them and their families.

It was truly a night to remember — filled with pride, joy, and inspiration. Isaiah and Jasmine, thank you for the outstanding impact you continue to make in our community!

Montebello Woman’s Club was honored to receive multiple awards at this year’s 70th Annual San Gabriel Valley District California Federation of Women’s Clubs Convention. Our club earned 1st Place – Intermediate Clubs Membership, 2nd Place – Intermediate Clubs Arts and Culture, 2nd Place – Intermediate Clubs Fundraising, and 3rd Place – Intermediate Clubs Civic Engagement

Congratulations to everyone whose dedication, teamwork, and service made these achievements possible. What a wonderful reflection of our commitment to our community and to one another.

✨ A Wonderful Night for the Montebello Woman’s Club! ✨

The Montebello Woman’s Club was honored to be invited guests at the 2026 All Service Club Banquet, hosted this year by the Lions Club of Montebello. What an incredible evening — full of great food, fun, laughter, and friendship!

We were proud to share the many ways our club has served the community over the past year, and it was inspiring to hear the amazing work being done by our fellow service clubs. This long‑standing Montebello tradition truly highlights the heart of our city.

We are grateful, energized, and proud to be part of such a dedicated community of service.

🌸✨ What an unforgettable day at the Montebello Woman’s Club! ✨🌸

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all our family, friends, and supporters who joined us for our Springtime Quartermania — it was a SELL‑OUT EVENT and an absolute blast from start to finish!

The room was filled with laughter, excitement, and incredible prizes, and the energy was nothing short of amazing.

A special shout‑out to our dedicated members Franceis Garcia and Dee Cadena for organizing such a fantastic event. We are deeply grateful to all our members who donated, volunteered, and showed up to support — you are the heart of our club. 💛

We were also honored by the presence of Councilwoman Scarlet Peralta and Fred Zermeno from Senator Bob Archuleta’s office, who came out to support our efforts. Your encouragement means so much to us.

🎉 It was a HUGE SUCCESS! 🎉 A portion of the proceeds will go toward scholarships for students in our community, helping us continue our mission of empowering the next generation.

At the Montebello Woman’s Club April General Membership Meeting, we were honored to welcome our Sisters from the Diamond Bar Woman’s Club University Leadership Team. Their mentorship and wisdom are always appreciated, and we look forward to future events and programs where we can celebrate our Sisterhood in Federation and continue supporting one another.

This month, the Montebello Woman’s Club proudly celebrated its 117th year with a festive “Birthday Bingo” celebration—filled with fun, laughter, and wonderful prizes.

Montebello Woman's Club members were honored to be in attendance at the Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis’ Women’s History Month Breakfast Power Hour, where our sister Diamond Bar Woman's Club Patsy Wilson and our very own Montebello Councilwoman Scarlet Peralta were recognized. We were also proud to share the morning with Mayor Georgina Tamayo and SGVD President Gina Morales.

It was an inspiring event filled with powerful, influential women. We had the opportunity to network, make meaningful connections, and meet leaders who are truly shaping their communities. We look forward to collaborating with many of them on future community initiatives.

We are excited about the momentum building in Montebello and are committed to bringing even more impactful events to our City.
