I didn’t know that one brunch would turn into a community of women in 17 states that includes thousands of different perspectives and so many different ways of living and brunching. I didn’t know I’d make such incredible friends or that we’d be able to support so many Latino-owned restaurants. I didn’t know that our community would be a platform to showcase people’s talents, and to help people connect with other women who are so inspiring in their own right. Now we are including everyone at our table, not just women, and I want to be mindful of how this is done, with respect and love.

Today is our 8 year anniversary, and I can only express gratitude for everyone who has been a part of our community over the years.

I would also like to ask that if you have ever experienced something at one of our events that brought you joy, leave us a comment. It would be wonderful to hear of some of your favorite memories over the years.

Thank you, and let’s keep growing our table to including as many people as possible, because community is the one thing that will always move us ahead together 💖 Gracias!

Erik has a word for you, & ! The Plant Papi has spoken!

In our interview with , he shared so much gratitude for the way that Bad Bunny and Ricky Martin put on for our community!

Erik is Mexican American from Texas, and he totally felt so seen by the presence of Latinos at the Super Bowl, even if he isn't Puerto Rican! Can you relate?

Even though it was weeks ago, we feel so proud of what happened on that field and agree with Erik - we are so grateful that Bad Bunny and Ricky did this with love!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your experience as one of the plants on the field, Erik! We love everything you shared, and are excited to share the full interview soon!

Stay tuned for more!

The Plant Papi himself had no idea that the taquero was really from LA, or that the nail technician was a real professional! He was so focused on his role being the best plant on the field lol, that he didn’t learn about their roles and back stories until after he left the field. It was so amazing to hear his firsthand perspective about this, and to know that the level of detail in the show continued to hit him even after the halftime show was over!

We are so excited to continue these interviews with the more people who were part of the halftime show, including some of these amazing people who weren't extras!

Shout out all of the Latina and Latino-owned brands that were included in the halftime show as well. Will be bringing you interviews with some of the owners too!

Appreciating our own culture feels so different after the Super Bowl. talked about how his own identity and connection to culture has shifted from when he went to see Bad Bunny at his residency in Puerto Rico to win Erik actually participated as a plant in the halftime show. What a journey! Can you relate? Are you feeling a desire to connect with people who share a cultural connection even more?

Thanks for the interview with , Erik!

PLANT PAPI ALERT! 🌿🔥 We had the opportunity to chat with an actual plant from the Super Bowl halftime show!

Erik Solorzano is amazing, and he actually went viral in memes online! Have you seen him?!

Erik also has a day job at a tech company outside of being a bush, sometimes called a plant. He doesn’t really care what he’s called as long as Bad Bunny invites him back to the Casita! He still has his full outfit! 🌿👀🏡

It was so fun chatting with Erik, a Houston native who we met online through our friend and HTX chapter lead, ! Thank you for the intro, Rosa!

This was an amazing conversation between and , the founder of and . Erik is invited to brunch with us!

Stay tuned for more clips from this interview. Thanks again, Erik! You are the coolest plant papi ever! 💖🌿
