At our September Sunday Assembly, speaker Aaron Carter shared his personal "Compass"—a collection of his own core values and wisdom, acting as a humanist bible of sorts. It 's a service for anyone who wants to

What started in London is now touring
across the globe to set up new congregations

Hector Iberra joins us this month with his talk, “Playing by Ear: The Unseen World of Games for the Blind.” Hector will take us inside the world of accessible gaming and explore how technology is creating new ways for blind and visually impaired people to play.
Donna Westwood will lead us in some fun singalongs, Aaron Carter will share something during Creative Space and Sean Cameron will join us for Trying My Best. Hosting this month will be Sam and Marsha.

As always, we’ll share music, hear stories from our community and spend time together.

Due to the outbreak of cyclosporiasis lately, it seems unsafe to have our salad competition at the assembly tomorrow. We're going to need to postpone. To our q***r friends heading out to Pride this month:

We hate that this even needs to be said, but this country feels like a pressure cooker right now and we’re all the green beans rattling around inside of it. Joy is resistance. Visibility matters. And we deserve to celebrate loudly and freely, but we also need to take care of each other while we do it.

Make a plan before you go.
Share your location with someone you trust.
Pick a meeting spot in case phones die or crowds get chaotic.
Stay aware of exits.
If something feels wrong, leave.
If you hear screaming, popping, panic, or people start running, do not stop to investigate. Run first. Figure it out later.

Travel in groups when you can.
Keep an eye on your friends.
Drink water.
Charge your phone.
Trust your instincts, even if you feel dramatic. You are not being dramatic.

And despite all of this, we still hope you dance. We still hope you laugh until your stomach hurts. We still hope you kiss somebody under rainbow lights and feel the kind of freedom our community fought so hard for.

We belong here.
We always have.
