The Casting Assistant Pathway Program doesn’t end at graduation — it’s just the beginning. 🌱

Recently, CAPP alumni gathered in Los Angeles for a meetup. It was a joy to see this community continuing to connect, support one another, and grow their careers in casting long after completing the program.

CAPP was created to foster emerging talent and build equity in the field of casting — and moments like this are proof that the relationships formed here last well beyond the 12 modules. We are so proud of every one of our alumni.

This March, CSC LA members gathered at Our Big Kitchen LA to give back in the most delicious way possible. Together, we prepared and packaged 600 kosher meals for our community — and baked 1,300 snickerdoodle cookies to sweeten the day! 🍪

A heartfelt thank you to CSA members Jeannie Bacharach, Sunday Boling Kennedy, Meg Morman, and Amanda Ogen — and to CSC friends Laura Linda Bradley, Ed Cover, Kimberly Demarse, and Toria Molaei — for showing up with such warmth and generosity.

Grateful for this community and every chance we get to serve it together.

At Covenant House NY’s Sleep Out event on Sunday, August 18th, we slept out so homeless youth don’t have to 💤🌟

This year, our 2024 Rosalie Joseph Humanitarian Award Recipient Karlee Fomalont, CSA, led Team Casting to exceed their goal, raising over $30,000— their personal best in 7 years! By participating in this event, our members helped shine a light on the injustices faced by kids experiencing homelessness, inspiring communities to step up, advocate for, and protect young people whom the system has failed.

🛌 Learn how you can participate in an upcoming Sleep Out event near you or even start your own Sleep Out event at the link in our bio! You can also donate directly at the link in our bio.

Be sure to follow along for more information on how you can get involved next year!

Everybody knows someone impacted by addiction—it may be a family member, friend, or coworker. Addiction affects 49 million Americans, and drug overdose is the leading cause of accidental death in the U.S. It’s time to break the silence, break the stigma, and show support for those touched by this treatable condition.

For far too long, substance use disorder has shrouded by judgment and shame. But with your support, we can change that. Stigma keeps people from seeking the care they need—together, we can shine a light on this crisis and create a community that offers hope and healing 💙

This year, our team is participating in the 🚶‍♂️ Shatterproof Walk to raise essential funds that will transform how addiction is treated in America. We are breaking down barriers so that more people have access to quality care and recovery.

💪 Let’s stand together. Join our team or donate today to help us make a difference in this critical health crisis. Together, we can save lives. Together, we are Shatterproof!

👟 Save the date for this year’s walk on November 16th.

Your Every Day Action begins with one step every day—on a mission to change the way Hollywood sees food waste🍴

Directors Guild of America Assistant Directors Hillary Cohen and Samantha Luu questioned why gourmet catering leftovers were being trashed instead of donated. Jason Kennedy, CSA, is a current Advisory Board Member.

Every Day Action not only creates a route for food goods to be consumed by those in need, it creates opportunities for members of the entertainment industry to give back to their communities.

🌟 Spotlight of the Week: Young Storytellers 🌟

Young Storytellers equips young people to be the driving force of their own narratives. ✨ They’re passionate about bringing people together and creating stories to raise the voices of those who don’t often get heard. 📚❤️

They believe that when a young person understands the power of their own story—made of their unique background, culture, race, ethnicity, ability, immigration status, geographic location, and economic status, among others—it creates a more empathetic and equitable future for everyone. 🌍💪

They raise voices, one story at a time. 🎤✍️
