Most participants at Kid City are first-generation college or college-bound students living in neighborhoods around downtown Los Angeles including South Central and Pico Union. Kid City recognizes the problem of educational inequity and severe economic hardship among the communities we serve. We strive to provide ways for students to access opportunities, explore their intellectual curiosity, and discover their ability to advocate for themselves and their communities.

This fall, Kid City is offering TWO programs designed specifically for high school seniors:
🎓 Senior College Access Program (SCAP) — Get support with college applications, financial aid, personal statements, and more.
🤝 Mentorship Program — Get paired with a mentor for more personalized support, guidance, and someone to help you stay on track.
Whether you need college guidance or a mentor in your corner, we’re here to support you. ✨

WANT TO WATCH THE SPARKS VS. ATLANTA GAME FROM A SUITE?!

We’re giving 2 LUCKY WINNERS the chance to experience the game in a SUITE!

Each winner will receive:
1 SUITE TICKET + 1 PARKING PASS

And guess what? ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS COMPLETE THE DIGITAL LITERACY COURSE!

If you START AND COMPLETE the course between August 1–21, 2026, you’ll be ENTERED INTO THE RAFFLE!

Kid City Hope Place wants to thank our sponsors AltaMed Health Services hottopic, Los Angeles County Justice, Care and Opportunities Department, LA Dept of Cultural Affairs, and Inner City Law Center Your financial support and in-kind generosity for our local youth made Splash of LA 2026 career readiness program and the annual community arts festival possible!

We also want to express our gratitude to The Intern Project and for your strong partnership.

To our committed staff, board members, alumni and volunteers who helped things run smoothly behind the scenes.

To our neighbors from South and Central LA who showed up and enjoyed the music and the many fun activities that the teens and young adults put together.

Tomorrow is the big day and with that we hope you are excited for our Splash Tower at Splash of LA 2026! 💦

It will be very hot so please make sure you wear sun screen and light clothing to stay cool throughout the day... And in case you get nominated for the Splash Tower maybe some extra clothes 😆

We wanted to highlight the amazing animations that one of our Kids City students did for us for Splash of LA this year. 🎨

Our big summer event, Splash of LA, is coming up and here are a couple things you should know before the date!

There will be parking but it will be limited so make sure you are early to not miss your spot!

There are plenty of public transportation, so we shared a few options you can consider.

We also encourage carpooling with a friend who will be going!
