Amanecer had the privilege of sponsoring and supporting Homies Unidos’ 10th Annual Central American Youth Leadership Conference. This impactful event brought together more than 100 high school students from communities across Los Angeles.

This year, Amanecer hosted a workshop titled “Saliendo de las Sombras” and participated as an exhibitor, sharing valuable mental health resources and information with students and attendees. We are grateful for the opportunity to support and empower young leaders while promoting mental health awareness within our community.

• Social expectations around masculinity and self-reliance
• Stigma surrounding emotional vulnerability
• Lower rates of help-seeking for depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions
