Today, a family of 3 including a 16-year-old with an autoimmune disease was left without shelter after being kicked out of a hotel for exceeding their stay limit. In 90° heat, they reached out with nowhere to go, no credit card, and no options left.
This is what housing injustice looks like. The system in LA failed them, but community didn’t.

We at LA Community Alliance were able to step in, provide transportation, and secure a safe Airbnb style hotel that accepted cash…all within hours.

The process shouldn’t be this hard. Rental assistance shouldn’t be inaccessible. And families shouldn’t be forced to suffer while waiting on systems that rarely deliver.

📍We do this work because no one deserves to be left behind.
