Help the Dan Family Rebuild After the Devastating Eaton Fire
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers,
On January 7, 2025, the Eaton Fire ravaged Altadena, California, consuming over 14,000 acres and destroying more than 6,000 homes. Among the countless families affected, the Dan family—Stacey and her elderly parents—lost their cherished home and all their possessions in this unprecedented disaster.
The fire struck with little warning, and due to delayed evacuation alerts, many residents, including the Dans, were caught off guard. They barely escaped with their lives, leaving behind a lifetime of memories reduced to ashes.
In the aftermath, the Dans faced further hardships. Their insurance company has yet to provide the necessary support, and the overwhelming demand has left organizations like the Red Cross unable to assist promptly. Currently, Stacey and her parents are without a permanent residence, relying on temporary shelters and the kindness of friends.
The emotional toll has been immense. Stacey, who has always been the pillar of strength for her family, is now grappling with clinical depression. The trauma of losing their home, combined with the uncertainty of their future, has left the family in a state of profound distress.
We are reaching out to our community and beyond to rally support for the Dan family during this critical time. Your generous contributions will directly assist in:
• Securing stable housing: Providing funds for rent and essential utilities to ensure the Dans have a safe place to call home.
