Woke up and cleaned up the streets around our house before I started the day. Felt really good to make a place where when we take nightly walks, my kids won’t ask what piles of trash are. Also, we have some rain coming and we don’t want to have that trash end up in the storm drains and flow right into our local streams and waters. When you feel motivated to get out there and clean, tag us and you’ll get some love!

We have a big problem at our hands, that's not only getting the attention it deserves but progressing in its scary advancement . Plastic is one of the most frightening products we mass produce and then do not handle properly, to the extent that it enters our streamways and then into the ocean, creating one of the largest manmade problems that will be EXTREMELY hard to fix. Plastic never breaks down like paper or wood; it just photodegrades into tiny microscopic pieces. These pieces enter sea life and suffocoate them to death. Once the creature breaks down, the plastic is rereleased into the water to harm again. Scientists sometimes refer to it as a "serial killer" because of this cyclical fatal outcome. We have already let the problem develop into a mass of microscopic pieces that are congregate bigger than the United States (often referred to as the eighth continent). We can stop the growth and start alleviating the problem by making sure plastic won't enter our waterways or ecosystems. By reducing litter, we can start to keep the oceans clean. and pick up plastic, recycle it, post a selfie to celebrate your efforts and you enter to win a chance to win some goodies! We all can use the help.
